Oh, I'm praying Anna slips down the stairs and snaps her own neck! What a ruination of an otherwise great character. Let Owen go to jail under suspicion of killing Anna, please!
ReplyDeleteCould someone please explain why Owen thinks he has any right to interfere in this situation with Faye and her biological father? Anna is her adoptive mother, but Owen has no legal standing whatsoever here. Is Anna so insecure in her role with Faye that she's willing to let Owen run things again. She knows his history with his own daughters, or is this another example of the writers forgetting the nature of the characters they've created?
ReplyDeleteThe biological father has no standing. Fatherhood isn't about dumping sperm and then running....
ReplyDeleteI think he does have standing. Social services today like to reunite families with their roots. There were mitigating circumstances why he left and he cant be a worse dad than the bullying thug Owen.
ReplyDeleteFrosty too is in the dislike Anna club, she always knows better and the idiotic way she behaved over the surrogacy ruined the character for me. Good idea for her to murder Owen and then get sent down. Had enough of her irritating voice as well.
Maybe Anna should take Faye abroad to meet Eddie . Eddie was part of the original adoption after all. And excuse me but despite watching every episode I seem to have missed the bit where Owen moved in with Anna? I can't stand him and don't understand why they swapped Eddie for him. At least Anna seemed to like Eddie and they had a laugh. Owen is no substitute. Eddie should come back as a business man who has changed due to his experiences abroad. Steve Huison was very entertaining as Eddie .
ReplyDeleteSo many sympathetic characters have now been ruined: Anna, Peter, Leanne,Tyrone/Kirsty. The stories start well and bowl along and then they either go on for too long or the characters behave stupidly.
ReplyDeleteSo Karl and Sylvia will hook up at a Gamblers Anonymous meeting and end up in a torrid love affair.
ReplyDeleteHey, why not? It could be just another implausible storyline. :-)

Always the excuses for the deadbeat fathers...
ReplyDeletewow so many people have turned against anna .iam surprised .but i do agree about owen he is a very hateful man never liked him ,but i love eddie it would be nice to see him back money buisness man dressed to the nines .put owen out i think anna is going all wrong on this faye thing i think she will be sorry .maybe she should let tim have visiting rights supervised to start .cupcake canada
ReplyDeleteI like Faye's dad, so far he seems a decent kind of bloke. Far nicer than that thug Owen. Anna would be better off with him and stranger things have happened! I don't like the Windass/ Armstrong mix.
ReplyDeleteEarly days yet however. Plenty of time for them to turn him into a psycho, torch the factory, bury bodies under it first, sleep with half the street, have a gambling addiction, was a raging alcoholic, be imprisoned for something he didn't do, sleep with Tracy and impregnate her with a phantom baby, be a cross dresser, got his sister in law pregnant.....
Would be quite nice if he was normal for once. Far too many crazy loons on that street as there is!
So, Chesney has bundles of cash hidden away somewhere? He runs a two-bit stall and they are always complaining about being short of cash but Fiz calls him to bring them money....why not call Hayley? I too am tired of this Anna, dispensing advice to all and sundry...she should move in with St. Ella.
ReplyDeleteIn real life adoptees want what is in the best interest of the child. They are not as possessive as Anna is. But in soapland it is another excuse for drama. I would like to see Faye and Tim run off out of the country. A frantic Anna calls the police then Tim and Faye hole up in a B&B in Wales... Oh yea, right.
