The official Coronation Street website at itv.com/corrie have confirmed that there will be more than one person dying in the Rovers Return fire.We know, if tabloid rumours are true, that Sunita will snuff it in the blaze.
But who will be the other one?
Who would you want to get killed off in such a dramatic fashion - and who would you want to be saved?

ReplyDeleteHayley because David Neilson's interview rather suggests they haven't left a door open for her return. Shame.
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine it would be Haley... way too early for that. My guess is Karl... hears that Sunita is trapped and does the heroic thing by trying to save her and gets killed himself.
ReplyDeleteI think it is just a tempter again, just like the characters dying in the tram crash when it turned out to be the driver or someone that hadnt even been in it.

Julie still has a long while to go on her contract and ITV will want to do something special for her departure and it's only just been announced so unlikely to have been written into a storyline this quickly anyway. So it's NOT going to be Hayley.
ReplyDeleteIt'll be someone on a short-term contract, an extra or an infrequent visitor. My money's on Jack. I know that with his name he's a nice link with the past but he's a bit of an embarrassment and the main obstacle to Sally and Kevin reuniting ... again.
Please let it be St Ella! I doubt it will be, but with any luck it will be her or Tina.

Please let it be Rob, Tracy or St Ella. Won't be Hayley they've only just announced her departure and it probably won't be Tina either. They wouldn't want to get rid of her because of her looks.

ReplyDeleteI won't get too hyped up, remember the fourth major death in the tram crash was just a random taxi driver, which was just mentioned briefly in passing.
ReplyDeleteBut I wouldn't mind the likes of Karl or Tracy killed off. It could be Paul, thing is if someone was leaving the cast it would be announced.
But you never know, Corrie may surprise us.
I doubt it would be Jack since Kevin already lost a son before. (Personally I think it wouldn't be unrealistic for Sally to change her feelings about him as he grows and becomes his own person and less just Molly's blue eyes.) I hope its Stella the blandest landlady ever or Karl the creep. Another possibility is Stella's Mum or Eva but I would rather keep those two. Actually Eva might be a decent replacement landlady now that I think about it.

ReplyDeleteHayley is there till the end of the year. We haven't read about any other cast member leaving and it's very rare for these things to be kept secret. I imagine it will be an extra who dies, or perhaps a regular who makes a miracle recovery:) But in my dreams it would be Stella, Rob or Tracy...
ReplyDeleteProbaby Paul..he's a fireman so he'd be the first responder. He and Eileen haven't been doing much lately and Eileen is due for more heartache so my money's on Paul meeting his untimely end.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it will be baby Jack. I don't think they'd kill a small child like that, and also, why on earth would Kevin have the baby in the pub? And yes, Kevin lost a baby years ago (born and died the same day), I don't think they'd do it again to him. I would go with Karl as the other expendable crew member or it will be a new "regular" that suddenly pops up.

The tram driver somehow survived the plunge. The unseen person who died was a taxi driver who happened to be driving past at the wrong time...
