Next week on Coronation Street, one of my favourite couples will be moving in together. Yup, it's Kirk and Beth - and presumably the wonderful Craig with Darryl the rat - will be moving out of Maria's flat above the salon and into the flat above the empty Elliot & Son's butcher's shop.
I'm loving Kirk, Beth and Craig and even have a soft spot if not for Darryl the rat, then for the chaos it causes on the cobbles. It's always getting loose and causing someone some bother, which can only be a good thing. And it even brought Ozzy the forgotten black labrador back to Coronation Street last night, even it was just for a fleeting glimpse and a bit of of a growl.
So anyway, back to Kirk and Beth moving in together. Let's hope it's the start of a long and happy family life for Kirkeh and who knows, we might even find out some secrets about Craig's real dad. Could his real dad possibly, really, be Steve McDonald as we've hinted to on the blog in the past?

Good move to keep this family on the Street. An interesting twist would be if Craig turned out to be Andy's son. Beth cheated on Steve with his brother! It's stretching it a bit, perhaps, but Craig has got Andy's hair.
ReplyDeleteYay! And your mention of Ozzie had me thinking that having a caged rat in his house must drive the poor doggie mental!
ReplyDeleteCraig's great! I'm glad the Tinker family are staying on the Street. I thought it was really touching last night when Craig was upset about leaving Maria's flat because he liked being part of a family. He's a character with hidden depths!
ReplyDeleteLove this threesome and a half. Craig is a gem and hasn't he grown!
ReplyDeleteI like them but Beth is becoming a little too OTT and annoying lately, she needs to be reined in by the writers as she is a good character. Who would want to rent a damp old flat above a shop that has been in disrepair for years. who owns it anyhow, is it still Clurr?
