Coronation Street Blog's best bits of 2012

As we head towards the end of this year, it's time to take stock and blow our own trumpet with achievements from the Coronation Street Blog during 2012.

February 2012: San Francisco author Armistead Maupin shares his approval, via his twitter and facebook, over our Tales of the City meets Coronation Street blog post

March 2012: Our Mad Men and Corrie look-a-like post was featured in The Guardian.

April 2012: We donate to charity in exchange for Celebrity Blog Posts from Jon Connell, TV Presenter and from Paddington Bear

May 2012: Our blogger Lllfon's online poll of fans' favourite Coronation Street characters was featured in The Sun, Digital Spy, RTE and STV.

Also in May, we donate to charity in exchange for a Celebrity Blog Post from Anne Marie Scanlon, journalist and writer.

June 2012: We donate to charity in exchange for a Celebrity Blog Post from comedian Tommy Reckless.

Also in June, we were given the world-exclusive picture of Nigel Pivaro (Terry Duckworth) dressed in his Christmas 2012 panto costume!

August 2012: The Mirror featured the Coronation Street Blog, although they got most of the details wrong.

Also in August 2012, the Coronation Street Blog was invited to meet Corrie actors Patti Clare (Mary Taylor) and David Neilson (Roy Cropper) at the Southport Flower Show.

September 2012: We donate to charity in exchange for a Celebrity Blog Post from Councillor Fraser McPherson.

October 2012: The Daily Star on Sunday used an exclusive from our site, sadly without credit to us

In addition to all of that above, our stats have gone sky-high and continue to rise.  We remain the only Coronation Street fan site to offer exclusive news, reviews and competitions and are very proud indeed of all we achieve.

Find out more about the Coronation Street Blog.

It's a team effort and with a great team of Corrie fans and writers, we have been able to produce some of the best quality, funniest, most incisive comment on Coronation Street anywhere in the world - online, offline, in print and in press.

Onwards to 2013!

  4. Having found this blog site a couple of years ago, I find it's become horribly addictive. Still, as Norris would say: "There are worse things to be addicted to." (He was referring to chewy toffee.)

Many thanks to everyone at the blog. Great fun and a real delight to read.

  5. I am glad Canada has caught up with the UK as I can now enjoy this blog. I appreciate the irreverent nature of the humor. The Canadian blog has so many rules. We are not to dis the writers or the producers or any of the actors. This blog much more fun.

  7. By the way, Flaming Nora, have you seen Skyfall yet? There is a sequence in which a tube train comes crashing down through the roof which looks uncannily like the tram crash in Corrie. I reckon Sam Mendes is a Corrie fan!-NN
