ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder! I'm looking forward to this one!
Really enjoyed this special. Dierdre is truly a street icon, and Anne Kirkbride is just a lovely person. Perhaps young people today wouldn't see her as sexy in the first twenty years of her role, but, IMO, she was way more sexy as young Dierdre than Tina, Michelle, Kylie, even Sarah could ever be. It was great to see Anne's earlier acting history, and in her own persona just how well she plays Dierdre and has for all these years.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Anonymous above - the special was great! Wonderful to hear her father speak about her and see where she grew up. She's gone even higher in my esteem after seeing it.
