Sneak preview of tonight's Corrie - Thursday 3 May

Coronation Street, Thursday 3rd May at 8.30pm

KIRSTY REACHES BREAKING POINT. With Terry nowhere to seen Kirsty's smug about seeing off his club. But when she gets called to a meeting and is duly suspended for her illegal search of the town hall Kirsty's devastated – this is the end of her police career. Tyrone tries to reassure her but as Tommy insists she's got her comeuppance she storms off. Back at the house Tyrone finds Kirsty stewing. She turns on Tyrone accusing him of not backing her up against Tommy and pushing her into taking action against the club. Trying to make it up to Kirsty, Tyrone reveals he's spoken to Carla who's offered to give her a job packing at the factory. Railing at Tyrone Kirsty insists policing was her life. Tyrone apologises but when he suggests she's over-reacting Kirsty's anger boils over leaving Tyrone stunned by her actions. Meanwhile when the loan sharks come calling Tommy's forced to offer to bail Terry out. Will he take his son's inheritance?
JULIE GETS LIFE CHANGING NEWS. As a teary Julie tells her friends about the scan Eileen offers to go with her to see Dr Carter and get her test results. Julie's floored as Dr Matt gives her the prognosis.
KEVIN PREPARES TO HAND OVER HIS SON. Kevin asks Pam if she’ll consider having Jack on a semi-permanent basis as Sally isn’t prepared to play mother to him. Pam’s appalled by Kevin’s selfishness but agrees she’ll always be there for baby Jack. Can Kevin really give up his son for Sally?
Elsewhere the residents work on their entries for the Weatherfield in Bloom contest with Norris keen to out do his neighbours.

    - Actually, when it's put to her like that, I quite agree with her distress. (If her anger went no further that on this occasion). Although it's all of her own making.

She's lost her employment in a profession, a calling if you will. A profession - not a dead-end job that Tyrone has fixed her up with, which he thinks is of equal merit.

The police corruption side of this story doesn't ring true. First, I can't believe that Kirsty would wreck her career on the basis of being the local hero or whatever was her motivation. Secondly, Tyrone is no stranger to the police force. He was brought up by a mother who was often the wrong side of the law and Tyrone, himself, had several run-ins. He would be well aware that the police have to do things by the book and he wouldn't want his fiancee to do anything unprofessional. They've dumbed Tyrone down recently when, at one time, he was quite street-wise.
