Coronation Street are trumpeting their "Big Week" next week which is another way of saying that us Corrie fans are having our soap schedule messed up because of another ITV moneyspinner, Britain's Got the Idol Factor, or summat.
Anyway, in the "Big Week" the schedule will change and Corrie will be on every night - check out the revised schedule here.
The storylines are going to be dramatic, that's for sure, with Tina ending up in th'ospital after being whacked by Terry Duckworth. This week's Inside Soap magazine reveals that Terry and Tina end up arguing which turns into a scuffle, Terry pushes Tina over and she whacks her head on the floor. Actress Michelle Keegan, who plays Tina, tells the mag that she did all her own stunts and ended up covered in bruises.
Anyway, Terry then panics and leaves Tina lying in a pool of blood and when he finds Tommy he lies and says he found Tina like that and blames Rick the nasty, evil loan shark. Tina's rushed to hospital and put in intensive care. Will the sexiest woman in soap survive? I'll give you three guesses.
Elswhere in the "Big Week", Lesley dies while being looked after by Eileen, Karl and Sunita start sniffing around each other (or as I like to call them by their new celebrity name, Snarkita).
And there'll be an exclusive online mini-episode at itv.com with David Platt finding out where wife Kylie's really been hiding! Oo-er!
You can watch the "Big Week" TV trailer here on the official Coronation Street website.

I'm trying to figure out how many characters have been hooked up to a ventilator in the past year or so.

I think I missed a few dozen. I think that hospital must have a ward just for the residents of Coronation Street!
Yeah, I also noticed a lot of people on Corrie seem to end up with the hospital tubes in their noses.
ReplyDeleteSnarkita LOL. I love it.
I was thinking 'Snarl', 'cause that's how I feel every time they're together. (Actually, I think 'Barf', but that just doesn't work at all.)
ReplyDeleteHope someone posts that mini-ep on YouTube.
I don't condone violence of any kind but I do hope that Tina's whack to the head will knock some sense into her or at least give her a much needed personality transplant!
ReplyDeleteHere we go again, a Corrie resident at death's door and then a miraculous Lourdes type recovery with them up and about in a week. Its totally ridiculous but I suppose it gives work to those acting extras who get to play the self important doctors.
ReplyDeletewell first of all anonymous u missed PETER! I hope 2 god Tina does not die! x
ReplyDeleteand to the other anonymous Tina is great! she does no way need a personality transplant!
ReplyDeleteWhat about all the ones who've been in prison? It must be the most dangerous street in Manchester
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see Monday night's Corination Street! It's going to be amazing! I think Peter, Carla or Rob will kill Tina and I actually can't wait till she does because she has done so much wrong lately, What happened to the old Tina?
