Coronation Street episode review, Thursday March 15

Audrey and Lewis are back to being very much an item but decided to keep it a secret for now - probably very wisely where disapproving daughter Gail is concerned!
But their covert kissy-kissy session in the (locked)  salon was nearly discovered by Audrey's grandson and fellow salon worker David who burst in. In a farcical scenario, Lewis had to hastily hide under an old fashioned overhead hairdryer (do these 1960s contraptions still exist any more outside of Coronation Street?) and pretend he was an elderly female client.
As Peter was questioned by police after falsely confessing to Frank's murder, a distressed Carla marched to the factory to harangue and rant at Anne, saying her late dastardly son was to blame for Peter's arrest and that eight year old Simon would now have to grow up without a father around because of him.

The picture of Carla could have been taken from Snow White, the wicked queen with her toadie. Why is she using little Simon in her argument when he HATES her and she broke up the marraige - dah - thin the red plonk has addled the bitch's brain. More ridiculousness with fat Brian and his "healthy eating scheme" whilst scoffing bacon sarnies - oh my aching sides (not)

  2. An epic battle between good and evil:

    Evil
    - Brian and the initiative. Ridiculous verging on nasty with David's pig noises. Brian is a pompous clod. Boo.
    - Peter's confession: he has a kid who he loves to bits. No way would he do this. Carla is a new infatuation, not an established life partner. Roy confessing to save Hayley would make more sense, that's how stupid this is.

    Good
    - Cat Fight Royale: implausible but awesome exhibit of raw bile between Anne & Carla. With Hayley the Meek refereeing, go figure.
    - Aud, Lewis and the dryer, Julie and the sandwich: light dollops of gold. More, please.

  3. More creepy-crawly smooching between Paul and Eileen, while Lesley is sitting right there on the couch.

I kinda liked Beth mouthing off in the factory to Eileen - asking her about the menage a trois.

  4. Good God, Eileen and Paul act as an old married couple, smooching right in front of Lesley! Really...?...Paul is going to nap at night at the firestation when there are no fires...hahahaha....incredibly distasteful and poorly written story, hope it ends soon.

  5. I love Audrey and Lewis together and think he fits in well with the other characters. Does anyone know if he is just on a short contract?

  8. agree with FTS about Brian and his 'healthy' eating initiative. Why hasn't this storyline reached it's conclusion by now. I suppose this is the lead-in for more dire and boring Platt nonsense with Gail sucking lemons and gobby mouthed Kylie flinging smart-ass one liners around while David goes to war with his Granny over the Salon. Oh..and can we please get rid of that boring Dev...why is this character still on the show? Karl and Sunita? Sure. ZZZ
