ITV confirm Frank Foster to be killed off - but by whom?

This just in, direct from ITV by email, so we know it's true...
Millions of Coronation Street fans were left stunned tonight when evil Frank Foster walked out of court a free man after being found not guilty of raping Carla Connor.
Now the storyline is about to take an even more dramatic turn and the coming weeks will see tensions rise and vengeance on the minds of several characters, climaxing in Frank’s death.

But who will do him in?
Throughout February Frank will continue to alienate himself as he sets his mind to making ex fiancĂ©e Carla pay for dragging him through the courts.  Frank’s lifeless body will be found in the factory – after days of arguments and confrontations with associates, lovers and enemies alike – leaving police and viewers baffled as to the identity of the murderer.

And Corrie fans will be on the edge of their seats as the mystery unravels and the killer is finally unmasked in true soap style.

OK, Street sleuths... who do you think kills him? Our blogger Tvor said ages ago that Rosie might just be the one.  What do you think?

  1. It would be nice if it was Tracy, then we could get rid of her. Again. For a while, 'til some other fool lets her out of prison.

  2. I think it will be Maria. I'm sure Samia Smith said big things were coming up for her in an interview.

  3. I think coronation street has acted disgustingly with the outcome of this story line. He should have been found guilty what sort of message does this send out to real. Victims!. Coronation street writers should be ashamed of themselves

  4. Even "real" victims don't always get the verdict they want and/or deserve. Sometimes life is shitty and so are the Courts.

  5. Maybe Stella can invite Frank into the back for a chat and then bump him off. Then we can get rid of her meddlesome face for a while.

Actually, I guess it depends on HOW he gets killed - that would be a better clue as to the WHO.

Maybe it'll be Simon. THAT would be a surprise!

  6. Agree with Anonymous above about Coronation Street acting digustingly. In real life no-one has control over juries' verdicts, but the writers had complete control. Last episode I will watch for a long time.

  7. I think they will bring back Chris Gray to do the dirty deed. Revenge for how Frank treated Maria. Yah, I know it's waaaaay out there.

  8. I mentioned before that I think it will be Anne who kills him , probably witnessing an attack on Sally and his confession of raping Carla. Anne most likely couldn't live with the fact her son is a monster and also will blame him for her husband's death. Haven't heard that the actress is staying....

  9. Corrie producers acted irresponsibly in their decision to let a rapist walk. The 'murder' doesn't help vindicate the thousands of rape victims who continue to get away with their crime.

  10. Anne. Think back to the episode in which he "threatened" her. She was visibly terrified but thought best to "support" her son come hell or high water. You must admit, she does have a manipulative side. He follows in
    Her footsteps quite nicely.

  11. Anonymous says: "orrie producers acted irresponsibly in their decision to let a rapist walk. The 'murder' doesn't help vindicate the thousands of rape victims who continue to get away with their crime".

    I couldn't agree more.

I've always said that rape has no place in a "soap". If anyone feels like they want to complain to Corrie about this or any other storylines, the email address is viewerservices@itv.com

  12. Sorry, but could you all please look very carefully at this sentence which has been quoted several times on this thread: "'murder' doesn't help vindicate the thousands of rape victims who continue to get away with their crime".
Huh? So it's Carla's fault after all? I'm sure this isn't what you mean.

  13. I am astonished that ITV can think that it is acceptable to show that a rapist can walk free, I know that this is sometimes the case but the outcome of this storyline was completely irresponsible. Viewers don't watch Corrie for this type of thing if they want depressing they can watch Eastenders.

  14. Who would do it ~
Everyones making their guesses, but a lot of you don't seem to know that iTv announced that the killer is in even more trouble when two of the other suspects find out he/she killed Frank, so the killer tries to kill them too. So who did it?
Carla - for obvious reasons, but i don't think she'd be capable of trying to kill anyone but Frank.
Peter - again obvious, but he wouldn't be able to kill Carla, Michelle, and not even Kevin and Sally.
Sally - The only way she could kill someone was if it was an accident, so if it was her, then she'd probably run away or turn herself in, let alone try to kill another two neighbours.
    Michelle - No way.
Anne - With a son like she's got, it makes sense she'd want to kill him, but I don't think she could. And she wouldn't be able to kill any of the others, though she does hate Carla and Peter.
Kevin - If Frank did anything to Sally, then yep, it could be Kevin. He could never kill Sally, even if she was going to turn him in. He couldn't kill Peter Michelle Carla or Anne wither, most likely. But you never know with Kevin, so he's my #1 suspect. I hope its a huge surprise though, maybe even not any of our prime suspects. I really hope its not anna, because thats just what everyone expects.
