Is Kirsty bad or just misunderstood?

This blog post was almost titled Yay or Yay - should Tyrone dump Kirsty?  But that would have been too obvious. Of course he should dump her - but their storyline on Coronation Street is going to take a twist next week when Tyrone finds out Kirsty's pregnant and that he's going to be a dad. So dumping her might not be on the cards, for now anyroad.

I think we all agreed that Kirsty is a bunny boiler in the making but could there be more to her than we've seen so far?

We know nothing about her apart from the fact she's a lady cop and that she's, er, a bit needy as far as fellas are concerned.  She's jealous and insecure but we don't know why, yet.  I'm hoping she'll redeem herself, that the reasons for her nastiness will surface and we'll grow to like her in time.  So I think she's misunderstood, not bad.  What do you think? Is she an utter nutter or could there be something more going on under that horrid exterior?

Another Corrie resident that has never heard of contraception in the year 2012! I just find Kirsty a bore frankly.

  2. I still don't think she's pregnant, I think it's a big fat lie.

  3. Or it's somone else's and the timing is just right enough for her to say it's Tyrone's

  4. But didn't the nurse or doctor come in to tell her the pregnancy was okay after the car crash (in the previews), so unless she bribed them too, it must be true. I'm hoping it isn't Tyrone's and he finds out real quick - poor guy doesn't need any more baby heartache. I'm not liking Kirsty, she doesn't fit it at all.

  5. Don't Dev or Rita sell condoms in their shops obviously not.

  6. Well, I suppose anything's possible in soap world, but I can't see her as redeemable, whatever her back-story is. Of course, personality transplants seem popular these days!
