Sophie storms put as Sunita arrives, and concerned she calls around to number 4 to see her. Sophie reveals to Sunita that she can't stop thinking of Amber. Sunita asks her whether being with Amber makes her feel like home. Sophie replies that she doesn't and with Sunita's assistance it helps her decide between Amber and Sian.

Owen and Chesney are dismantling Daryl's old shed at number 6 much to Faye's disapproval who storms off to the bus stop on her own. Later that evening Owen is digging the foundations of the pond when an angry Faye arrives home from school, annoyed that Anna didn't come and meet her from the bus stop because she was too pre-occupied with Owen and his pond. David sees what is happening and confronts Owen stating that Max could fall in and drown. Anna wades in and says the only danger to Max is David and Kylie. Enraged David hits back saying she has a mental son. With Anna speechless Owen warns him to watch what he's saying but as he walks off, David tells him he's ringing the council the next day.

Tina is getting ready for her interview. Matt belittles her choice of outfit much to her annoyance. Nick's not having much luck with his interviewees when Eva arrives who tells him that she's told Stella. Nick belittles Gail in front of Eva when Gail walks in with Tina ready for her interview. Her interview doesn't go tomplan as she realises that Matt has exaggurated her qualifications. Despite still impressing Nick, Tina leaves. Later while behind the bar at the Rovers she tells Matt she's happy where she is but when he suggests they go out the following day - to an open day at Weatherfield Tech - Tina erupts. Dumping him on the spot, she pours a pint over his head much to the amusement of Tyrone, Tommy and Kirsty nearby.

In the cab office a man calls around from HM Customs to see Lloyd. He reveals that he is there to do an on the spot audit of Streetcars. Stella later arrives to bring his phone that he left in the pub earlier to find Lloyd in a mess with paperwork and receipts everywhere, bemoaning the fact that Steve is on holiday with Tracy. He breaks down to Stella about how his relationship with Cheryl broke down. She tries to convince him it was Cheryl's fault but Lloyd tells her how much he misses her, even her snoring and how he now hates the silence.

When Sian gets home, delighted that she's recovered her coursework, Sophie drops the bombshell that she wants to get married just after Christmas due to a cancellation at the registery office. Sophie hits on the plan that they'll cook a big meal for Kevin and Sally, with Rosie there too, to sweeten them up. However Kevin can't make it due to lookinh after Jack and Sally is going to dinner with Frank and Anne. Sophie asks her mum fir her blessing to get married. Sally refuses and Sophie decides that her and Sian should elope to Gretna Green in Scotland to get married straight away. Sian is reluctant but eventually agrees and the two girls book an evening coach.

Meanwhile Frank has had a phone call from Laydon confirming that he has signed the contract and wants to go to dinner. Frank reveals to Sally that he wants her to accompany him to the dinner with Laydon but when Sally tells him about the issue with Sophie, Frank regails a story about an argument with his Mum years ago when he didn't talk to her for years. He then tells Sally to go to Sophie and make it up and he'll close the deal with Laydon. Getting home, Sally finds by the phone the information about coaches to Scotland and realises what Sophie and Sian are doing. Racing to the bus station with Rosie, they manage to catch the girls before they leave. Sally finally relents and gives her blessing for them to get married. When Sophie goes for chips later she bumps into Amber. She tells Amber that she didn't mean anything she said the day before and Amber retorts that she's only marrying Sian to get over her and walks off.

  1. Mood killer Gail, yeah, too bad. It's her house! Nick and Eva have jobs, they could get their own place(s) or at least a hotel room when the mood strikes.

FayE needs to be met at a bus stop 10 steps from her house? What, is she 5? Likewise, Max is 5, not a toddler. The fish pond shouldn't be a problem. Don't see this going anywhere good.

Thank the Lord for the fast forward button when Sian and Sophie and this tiresome sham of a "wedding/civil ceremony" story come on. Does anyone really care about these two divvies?

  4. It looks like someone called Sally is going to get the same present as Carla from guess who... FRANK! Oh, and of course, she won't get her old job back working for Carla after all what she said!
