The paper reveals that after Kirsty is involved in a car crash with Tina McIntyre, she gets checked out by medics and tells Tyrone: “I’m pregnant with your baby Tyrone. You’re going to be a dad.”
And after seeing the baby scan he realises that Kirsty is the one for him and says: “A proper family of my own is all I’ve ever wanted.”
Let's just hope Tyrone's mum Jackie Dobbs returns to play the nanna from hell.
Ewwwwww. Let's hope Kirsty first gets her personality transplant and returns to the fun girl Tommy bribed in the pub. Tina is nasty, sometimes, but at least sometimes she's not and we have a history with her. Kirsty, not so much. She just blew like a storm of ugly.
ReplyDeleteAgree with abbyk; let's hope motherhood softens Kirsty, as I'm not warming to her at all!
ReplyDeleteMy first opinion was that she was a great addition to corrie but all this business with Tina has completely ruined her character!
ReplyDeleteWere they trying to create an old-style feud between two strong females? The writers forgot to give them personalities so it's like watching two strangers on a bus having a row. Moderately interesting but instantly forgettable.
ReplyDeletedoesn't any character on this show practise birth control?
ReplyDeleteOh bother, another baby - good grief! If nothing else, that'll hopefully mean a vacate for Tommy and Tina. I know, they can move in with Michelle and her and Tina can both prance around in their towels and take turns accidentally dropping them while Michelle offers to lend everyone some of the reams of condoms she keeps around. Perhaps she should start handing them out in the Rovers; might curb the birth rate.
ReplyDeleteHow long has she been going out with Tyrone, a matter of months? and she is already pregnant, would a career girl policewoman really be so careless and irresponsible? Its a shame as it obviously means Kirsty is a permanent character and I think the Cheryl Gray clone is totally miscast in the role.
ReplyDeleteI've got no problems with the actress, but it would have been far better to develop this a little slower and drop that ridiculous feud with Tina who shouldn't be living there anyway.
ReplyDeleteI clearly remember Phil Collinson saying that he thought there were too many young children in the show... yet he has presided over the biggest baby boom in the show's history! Enough already, beyond the dramatic possibilities during the pregnancy, baby's in soap are boring, limiting, and invariably little seen... and usually have to be recast. Please, no more! Concentrate on getting some decent new adults in the cast instead.
ReplyDeleteThis has got to be a joke surely! This time last year he was living with Molly and Jack, now this?! Incredible that nobody now waits to get married anymore on the Street before having children. He's known her all of 5 minutes. She's been in max 10 episodes....? Or am I being old fashioned? There are no 'normal' couples/ family on the street. The only couple that waited to have children after they were married were Steve and Becky and then the writers decided that Becky wouldn't be able to have children' just like Steve's other wife Karen (more lazy writing). But Tracey, who Steve has slept with twice falls pregnant those two times.... WOW - and twins to boot.....
ReplyDeleteHonestly it's all becoming an absolute load of tosh! No imagination at all anymore!!!
And I can already see that we have the de ja vu of Peter/ Carla/ Leanne, Peter falling off the wagon again next week to look forward to.... I'd go on, but you get the picture. Phil Collinson makes my blood boil - ruining such a great show!!!
Agree with Frosty - Kirsty is totally miscast and a mini-Cheryl. Tyrone is a step-up from Kirk and would a career policwoman really be interested in him?....and now they are having a baby....come on, write some orginal storylines!
ReplyDeleteHere's one...Tyrone is not the father of Kirsty's baby either...wouldn't that be a supreme kick in his teeth?
ReplyDeleteHaving it so that Tyrone is not the father of Kirsty's baby would be the only thing that'll make this story interesting. Especially if it turns out to be Tommy!
ReplyDeleteMaybe it could be Steve's baby - wouldn't Tracy love that!
