It's Thursday and that means only one thing... time for the Steve McDonald gurn of the week. Thanks go Coronation Street fan Martin S. for this week's fab Stevie McGurn. If you've captured a good Corrie Steve gurn and want to share it via the blog, do email it in.
To see more gurnage from Stevie McGurn, have a look here, there's loads. Some good, some bad and some really very funny.

Some HOPEFUL thoughts for Steve. .... the simple fact is that people make STUPID relationship decisions, and my family could compete with ANYTHING he's ever done! I'm almost hoping that this situation becomes some sort of MIRACLE CURE for Tracy's evilness. I'm big on miracles and Christmas is the right time for them. As for Steve's wacky GURNS.... he kinda reminds me of Jim Carrey! (and that's a good thing!)
ReplyDeleteGot a great idea for a onset Corrie PANTO.... ANOTHER WORLD. A parallell universe type show where everyone is opposite their characters. I think it could start with Ken having a super BLAH day,...complaining that everything is so "been there, done that", but a slip on the ice has him in a whole other Weatherfield, where Tracy is a patient, put-upon wife of fastfood kingpin Roy Cropper, who is rich but miserable. Nasty in a way to make SCROOGE nervous! Hayley runs underworld like a sweatshop, Sean is having an affair with Eileen Grimshaw (remember, Parallel universe), who confesses she's had a crush on Gail Platt-Hillman-McIntre for years! Ken Barlow is the Rover's Cellerman, to Deirdre, who runs the bar, (present from Roy) but the couple may end up on the street as Roy intends on turning it into another factory for HIS hot pot recipe, stolen from Betty!
Norris has left the Kabin and now runs the Weatherfield Gazette, where he prints the stories of past customers of the Kabin. As a result, Rita loses the store and winds up homeless, which is when Norris cons her into marrying him. In the meantime, Roy's greed gets worse and he plans to kill Tracy to collect on her insurance. Trusting Tracy knows nothing of her husband's money-hungry schemes.
Will Roy do the deed or will Ken come out of his coma in time to realize that 'same old, same old' isn't so bad after all?
