Stephanie Beacham releases autobiography

Stephanie Beacham, who played Ken Barlow's floozy Martha Fraser on Coronation Street has released her autobiography.

It's called Many Lives and the book contains a foreword by William Roache, who plays Ken Barlow.

    Was just thinking of this actress/character yesterday.
    I was recalling the lack of actual story lines awarded of late to 'mature' characters on the street, with the exception of Audrey who's been the centre of many.
    Just nit-picking, but I wouldn't have described the character Martha as a "floozy".
