Regular blog readers will know that I'm a big fan of Inside Soap magazine. My lovely man and fellow blogger Sunny Jim buys it for me every Tuesday from the newsagent and then hides it inside his Guardian newspaper just in case anyone thinks, you know, he's bought it for himself. (Mind you, he's become very fond of their crossword). But I digress. Inside Soap magazine is great, there are often Coronation Street spoilers and when there are, we blog them right here. The mag's on sale every Tuesday at £1.50 and once a year they release their Inside Soap Yearbook which is full of good stuff. This year's Yearbook is now in the shops and there's some wonderful Corrie spoilers inside. And so without any further ado, here we go with them all.
Chris Gascoyne, who plays Peter Barlow, confirms the rumour that Peter starts drinking again and says we'll be seeing some serious drama from Peter over Christmas when he attends Alcoholics Anonymous. Chris says: "We've never actually seen properly on screen. We're going to delve deeper into it and see him with his sponsor. It's really great stuff."
Steve and Becky's divorce will become final over Christmas and guess what Becky does with her share of the settlement? She only goes and buys into Streetcars!
Chesney and Katy go deep into debt as Chesney hits the skids in his grief over losing Schmeichel. With Katy's baby on the way, they're going to face loads of trials together as teenage parents. Poor loves.
And in a fitting tribute, this year's Inside Soap Yearbook is dedicated to Betty Driver.
The Inside Soap Yearbook is available at all good newsagents now for just £2.95.

GIVE DENNIS TANNER SOMETHING! Jesus, what was the point in bringing him back? He has done nothign whatsoever. And what happened to this romance plot for him and Rita during the summer? Its November now, nearly 6 months since his return.
ReplyDeleteWhy would Becky buy into Streetcars if Katherine Kelly is leaving? More angst with the tiresome teenage couple who irresponsibly deliberately had a beybey at 16 unmarried and are now whining they dont have any money. What happened to Chesney being a young enterpreneur, that would have been a better story than this self pitying drivel.
ReplyDeleteI love the teenage pregnancy storyline as it is realistic. People are always complaing that corrie produces storylines that don't reflect real life any more, teenage pregnancy is a big thing nowadays and i think its good they're covering it.
