Michael Le Vell returns to work at Corrie

The Mirror reports today that Michael Le Vell, who plays Kevin Webster in Coronation Street, will be returning to work next week as he waits to clear his name in the sex abuse allegations.  Michael was seen driving into Manchester this week before his return to work next week after, the Mirror claims, Corrie bosses allowed him a seven-day extension to his holiday to deal with the allegations.

A friend on the set told the Mirror: “Michael has gone through hell this last week, but he says he has had enough of hiding. He has done nothing wrong, and all his friends are backing him one hundred per cent, so he’s holding his head up high and trying his best to live a normal life while he fights this malicious allegation. Nobody has any doubts about Michael’s innocence. He is well liked and trusted by everybody, these allegations will do absolutely nothing to dent his reputation.”

He has received support from several co-stars, including on-screen wife Sally Dynevor, 48, who said on television last week: “I have known Michael 25 years, and I am right behind him.”

I am surprised they have let Michael return until his name is cleared. The truth of the matter is we dont know Michael at all. We see him as Kevin Webster the car mechanic a character in a soap. Nobody can know for definite if he is innocent or guilty, I hope he is proved innocent, but many people spoke up for Harold Shipman and were "behind" the great doctor so nobody can know the truth until it actually comes out.
