Betty Driver tribute show planned for ITV

Coronation Street bosses will meet today to discuss plans to honour Betty Driver, says The Sun.
They are considering adding a tribute after tonight's episodes on ITV1 and must also come up with a way to write out her character Betty Williams.

Quantcast

Her on-screen departure won't be shown until the New Year as scenes are shot six to eight weeks in advance. A source said: "Our scriptwriters will ensure that Betty is written out in the best possible way. All the cast are keen to contribute to show their respect."

I do hope that a Brass Band will play at Betty Driver's funeral. Only a few months ago on Desert Island Discs she stated, "I love brass bands."

  2. Hope so too, that would be a very fitting musical tribute.
