There's a Coronation Street spoiler in today's Sun that says John Stape will return to the cobbles and kidnap Rosie Webster, for the second time. Graeme Hawley will return as John Stape in October and tries to sneak back without being spotted by locals. But Rosie spots him and John grabs her. He will then confess to murdering Colin and Joy Fishwick - as well as Charlotte.
The Sun says that Corrie fans will learn later this year that Stape fled to his homeland Ireland and has been living rough. But he has managing to keep track of Fiz's case through newspapers.
Methinks I hear the sound of a dead horse being flogged....
ReplyDeleteJust when you think Corrie can't get any better, it doesnt ...
ReplyDeleteWho is writing this stuff - Brian Rix or Doctor Seuss?
Lol. Sad to see him go, but at least we get to see him for another few episodes/a week. Him kidnapping Rosie should be a laugh once again. Cant wait :)
ReplyDeleteI can see that happening, but as long as it's just a short term thing, maybe Rosie will even persuade him to turn himself in for Fiz's sake. But Ireland isn't his homeland is it? Stupid Sun. He's local-ish and even his Gran had a house locally where he spent lots of time as a lad, even had his own loft room!
ReplyDeleteOooohhhh.... isn't it ghdsgklhfkofwhb SORRY, it's just that I am so excited that something interesting and a better story is going to happenin October when john stape returns and I can't wait... I enjoyed watching his devious acting the last time he was on OH... I'm that excited that much while jumping around, that I've fell of my computer chair!
ReplyDeleteMaybe he stole Joe McIntyre's escape plan dossier, got stuck in Ireland and survived by keeping the Connor parents hostage, and then he barely escaped when Meeechele came for a visit, and the best place to hide was of course with a model who works in front of cameras.
ReplyDeleteBLORCH!
I loved Stape, but really, can't he just be found ranting in a mental hospital or homeless shelter?

ReplyDeleteFirst Steve & Tracy, now John & Rosie... did I hit the rewind button somewhere along the line? I know that life can go around in circles, but please... surely there could have been some sort of better story for John? I thought he was going to return to clear Fiz's name... he could have done that without getting involved with Rosie again (although you can see that this could be his downfall and he gets sent to prison). Can someone let me know when the current year's storylines are airing, and I will actually tune in again - I don't want to watch episodes I've already seen!
Why the hell do they have to bring him back? What a pants idea. Can't they just let go of him?!
ReplyDeleteThis story has got potential provided it's played tongue in cheek. Both Stape and Rosie are self-obsessed fantasists and there could be some good dark comedy here. He'll blame her for making him kidnap her and she'll be outraged that it's happened again.
ReplyDeleteI have a better idea. John tries to kidnap Rosie. Rosie draws a small pistol from her ridiculously over-priced handbag and shoots him point blank. The end. Better yet, let her run to Kevin's garage for help, find no one there, grab a wrench and bludgeon him to death. One episode, tops.
ReplyDeleteI've noticed with killers on the street, they are always back! After confessing, Richard disappeared for a week or two before returning to try and kill his family! Tony went to jail before breaking out to get revenge...and now this is happening with John!
ReplyDeleteThis is one character I can't wait to see who might make Corrie more exciting to watch. Hopefully, he will push Becky to one side with his acting, as I am sick of seeing her face on this soap, and just spoils every story for me.
ReplyDeletePhil Collinson, if this goes through you should be sacked.
ReplyDeletei can not wait to see john get locked up again i better not snore
