There's a rumour floating around the Digital Spy forums that Julie Carp finds out that Eileen is related to Dennis Tanner in a new storyline for the summer. The rumours reckon that this spoiler is going to be in the June 23rd issue of the Radio Times.
This could be a very plausible storyline, because Elsie's maiden name is Grimshaw. It would be a very interesting story indeed and opens another chapter to Corrie history, which is always a good thing, and certainly better than the recent Xin/Graeme rubbish.
With the lack of airtime Dennis has been getting since he arrived, it's good that Philip Lowrie has a storyline as he's a great actor.
What do you think? Could it work? If it's true, I can't wait for this!
I think Julie just finds out that Elsie's maiden name was 'Grimshaw' HOWEVER I don't think they are actually related. They already added Julie as a relation to Eileen, I doubt they are going to add Dennis.
ReplyDeletePeople have been wondering for years if ther ewas a connection. If Dennis is going to stay on as a character, I think it would be great if they discovered a distant relation, just cousins but even so, it would be a nice touch.

Dennis needs a story desperately, not worth his return just to stand behind the Kabin counter with Rita and utter a few words - er how come she took him on anyway when she is no longer part owner? Not sure about Eileen though, we had her father and her half sister appear, just seems a copy cat and I personally am not keen on Eileen with her constant bitterness, moaning and sarcastoc smart alec remarks.
