There's a Coronation Street spoiler in The Daily Star that reckons Steve, Tracy and Amy are set to go for a secret day out in Blackpool, away from their neighbours. Disaster strikes when Amy goes missing (she must be a Simon wannabe) and Tracy and Steve go to find her.
By the time they find Amy and get back to their car, they find it's been towed away, so they must spend the night in Blackpool, together... wonder what will Becky make of that?
Oh c'mon!! An identical storyline to Simon's??
ReplyDeleteI wonder how much the writers get paid. I'm pretty sure some of us Corrie fans could do better!

lol it does sound really similar xD
ReplyDeleteHmm. It does sound similar to the Simon storyline of this time last year...but also very different. Simon deliberately ran away because he knew his grandfather was trying to take him away from his dad - the focus of that storyline was the custody battle and George's underhand tactics. Simon's disappearance was a major event and a storyline in its own right, driving an ongoing plotline forward. This time around, it sounds as if Amy wandering off for a short time is merely a device to facilitate the fact of Steve and Tracy having to spend a night in Blackpool together, with a focus on the disintegrating McDonald marriage and Tracy's part in that.
ReplyDeleteWill be interesting to see how it plays out. I do enjoy the history between Steve and Tracy, the fact that Amy ties them together, like it or not.
That's true, wouldn't put it past Tracyluv
ReplyDeleteanything to do with tracy i hate- so not looking forward to it
ReplyDeleteis she still leaving in may?
stupid plotline... writers need to work a bit harder... or else just fire them... this is sooooo lame!
ReplyDeleteIt will be a repeat if they have Amy wander off because she's heard Steve and Tracy arguing. Ho hum. All i can say is that Steve had better not succumb to temptation and Tracy had better not already be pregnant by someone else and try to fob it off on Steve if he does succumb.
ReplyDeleteAnd besides, Steve owns a cab firm. Can't he call someone to come get Tracy and Amy while he stays to get the car the next day?
ReplyDeleteD'you know what? I'm beginning to think it might be an idea to have Steve & Tracy get together. It might sweeten her nature a bit if she's got her man.
ReplyDeleteNo Tracy's not leaving in May - she recently extended her contract for at least another six months.
ReplyDeletei jsut had a reply saying shes not leaving but its not showing up?
ReplyDeleteis it true anyway-i might stop watching if so cant bear her anymore
Twas me to posted that she'd recently extended her contract for another six months - but for some reason the post has now disappeared. Odd.
ReplyDeleteNot to sure what the writers are thinking with the current story lines but it seems that there is a lot of rehashing of old story lines. Wouldn't mind if they were plausible but too many are just carbon copies that seem unbelievable. Could it be that with the long cold winter the writers are suffering from a case of brain freeze???Hope things turn around soon.
ReplyDeleteThe only way this storyline will work is if Becky shows up and pushes Tracy off the ferris wheel. Steve cannot end up with Tracy....I just won't have it!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't say this is the exact same as the Simon plot as there is different circumstances involved, and Amy doesn't come back via bendy buses
ReplyDeleteYou've got to be kidding me. How many times did we have "Tracy winds up Karen by pretending to have been with Steve" a few years ago? I don't think that I could take it any more...
ReplyDeleteShe's only just re-appeared in Canada, and I'm already tired of her patented "evil gurn over the shoulder" look...
