I'm a little concerned about little Liam. Where the devil has he gone? Is Uncle Kirk being babysitter, all the time, while Maria's at work in her new job at Underworld? Is Maria so ditzy that's she plum forgotten all about her baby boy?
Or maybe Ozzy's gone stir crazy with Maria and Kirk in the flat above the salon and eaten little Liam alive?
Yep and what's happened to Ames and Max-hay-baby, they seem to be consetantly absent whilst Becky and Stevie-baby are in the bar, or off to the Casino, or out in the Street, are they just left upstairs on their own?
ReplyDeleteActually I think they're safer offscreen. It's when we can see them that's when terrible things happen.... Baby Jack gets caught with his mum in the corner store (tram crash) Simon gets lost in Blackpool, Simon almost gets trapped in his flat during a fire, Bethany gets hauled up to the church spire by her mad Nana Fearnes, Dev's little boy gets stuck on his balcony.....
ReplyDeleteWhile offscreen the kids are safe from the diabolical writers who imperil the wee ones at every turn...
Kirk is a pretty redundant character these days, so it seems Maria has put him to good use as a live-in babysitter! Maybe we would see baby Liam more if they had some scenes in the salon flat.
ReplyDeleteAye, I don't think they have a set for the salon flat anymore, so we never see inside
ReplyDeleteCorrierules, not only are they safer, but their hands become extraordinarily clean.
ReplyDeleteI reckon he's locked up in Sally Webster's bathroom. I recall that when Rosie and Sophie were small they were constantly banished to that bathroom to "wash their hands". I think the only time we saw them was when Sal was force-feeding them fish fingers. She's got a dark side to her has that Sally!
ReplyDeleteSo if babies/children don't get much storytime... why keep introducing new children/babies into the Cobbles like the bratty foster kid Faye and Fizz's fragile Hope? If you cannot afford to havesupport children and supply them nourishing storylines... one shouldn't to begin with! Stick with the oldies -- at least they can utter decent lengths of dialogue...
ReplyDeleteThey can't just "Stick with the oldies" because the oldies arent going to be there forever, over the past 10 years we've lost loads of oldies, newer generations need to be introduced so they can become the next oldies
