Tracy Barlow to be new Rover's barmaid

Would you want Tracy Barlow to serve you a milk stout from behind the bar of the Rover's Return?

Say it ain't so, but The Daily Mirror reckons she's being lined up as the next Coronation Street barmaid before she leaves - for good?

Tracy has worked at the Rover's before, for one day only in 2003. She was sacked by Shelly Unwin for being lazy.

  1. That could equally be "Anyone know if Tracy's actually worked before?" :D

    (Enough Tracy bashing - Ed.)

  2. I might actually have to stop watching until she's gone. The worst actress ever!

  3. I can't see why Steve would hire her...then again the McDonalds might not have the Rovers soon D:

  4. She's worked behind the bar before IIRC but only lasted a day before she'd pissed everyone off and was sacked. If only the producers would do the same.

Ye gods, who on earth would be barmy enough to employ her? This is far too implausible, surely even spineless Steve can't be this daft? Where is Liz, we need her to keep some control in the Rovers!

  6. Yikes!! service with a scowl and a cruel, undeserved insult to go with it, can't wait! (rolls eyes!)

  7. I bet it's to do with her holding over Steve the fact that he bought Max. Steve's knickers are definitely twisted as a) he bought Max, and b) Becky ripped off the Corner Shop for more blackmail money to keep Max. Steve cannot afford to let that knowledge be known by his community, and Tracy will do anything to get her way. All of the above comments are right: who in their "right" mind would hire Tracy? And that's just it; no one.

  8. It's ridiculous, the McDonald's wouldn't want to employ her and neither would any future owners because she is so unpopular with the locals. I still don't understand why Carla employed Tracy. Surely Carla (considering her past) wouldn't be keen on hiring a murderer?

I'd switch my regular to the Flying Horse!

  10. If she tried to serve milk stout, it would curdle.

  11. I thought that Steve McDonald was almost broke. A sure way of going bankrupt would be to hire Tracy to rid the Rovers of all it's regulars!

  12. Er hello newsflash, there is no PROOF that Steve bought Max, no receipts no credit card trail. Its quite feasible that Becky is minding her sister's child while she is abroad. Its the mumblings of a six year old plus the say so of a murderer - PLUUURESE, we cannot be expected to swallow that on this flimsiest of reasons Tracy is to get her own way. Daft daft daft.

  13. Good point, Collin, however, this is soap land where proof is seldom required. Even in the real world an accusation such as that would make life hell for someone like Steve, and he knows what devastation even an accusation without being found guilty would do to his life and businesses.

  14. Um... I don't really know if Tracy has the necessary "people skills" to work in the service industry...
