Anybody interested to know who painted Fat Brenda?




As well as working her little Eddie Windass-style socks off doing nights at Streetcars our blogger Fat Brenda is the toast of Twitter at the moment.
Anyone who's following her will have noticed her profile picture. It's a portrait taken from life by artist Barry Nicol ( he also did the cartoon), and if you like his work you can find more of it here.

    What is that shade of hair colour, is it Dunhill Smog? I fancy going the same colour.

    He says he scraped the nicotine off his own fingers and mixed it into an "egg tempera" emulsion. Hope that helps ;)
