Michelle's absence explained

People have noted the absence of Michelle Connor in the anniversary week episodes. The character was said to be in Glasgow sorting out Ryan. It seemed odd to me because Ryan has been in Glasgow now for several months.

In this week's New! magazine, Kym Marsh has stated why she was not included in the big week. Seems that as she is pregnant, the producers thought that it was better to be safe than sorry. There was quite a lot of stunt work, running and stress and that might have put her health in jeopardy. You may remember last year Kym lost a baby boy who delivered early so nobody wanted to take any chances!

    Seriously what real "danger" was she in? She made herself available though to sing and appear on every show available that mentioned the crash though I noticed!

    I didn't miss her but i fully support her and the producers' decision to keep her safe. With all the stuff going on, i could see it would be easy to get bumped or fall even if you werne't doing any of the stunt work or running about.

    Can't stand the woman. She's one of the worst characters ever to appear on the Cobbles. She's not in the least bit 'Street' and her acting is crap.
