Digital Spy have details of Janice Battersby's exit from Coronation Street which has been leaked to the News of the World. Apparently, Janice will disturb a burglar in her flat and get beaten up. Streetcars cabbie Lloyd Mullaney will be the main suspect in the crime and will be questioned by police. Janice will move out of Weatherfield after becoming terrified of living alone and having nowhere else to go.
What does everyone think about this send-off for Janice, if indeed it's true? I think it sounds dreadful, and for a great character like Llloyd to be under suspicion of beating her up is just laughable.
Come on Corrie, Janice has been a part of the Street for over 13 years, let's hope there's more (or much less) to this leaked storyline than at first meets the eye. Couldn't Trevor the tasty trashman come back and whisk her away on the Weatherfield Explorer, at least?

I think this may be Chris' doing, I've heard he tries to set Lloyd up in the coming weeks

It's a bit naff really, Lloyd would have absolutely no motive for breaking in to anyone's flat!
