I'm on the edge of my seat, biting my nails down to the knuckles. Why? Because Peter "best-looking man on Coronation Street" Barlow's only trapped in the rubble, covered in debris, looking like he's about to pop his flaming clogs, that's why. Nick and Ashley are lifting rafters and trying to keep his spirits up but it's not looking too good, is it? And as for poor little Simon - will he survive, and if he does, will he be left without his dad?
Some end to a stag night.
Oh dear. It was only last week that I rated him number one in my top three favourite Coronation Street male characters. We can't lose Peter, surely! not on top of the news that Eddie Windass is going too!
With all the burning buildings and screaming denizens, all we need is Rhett Butler and Scarlett O'Hara driving a horse and carriage down Coronation Street and we'd have the burning of Atlanta all over again. Spectacular. Loving it.

And Carla saying 'I don't know nothing bout birthing no babies, Miss Fiona'? ;)
ReplyDelete*snork* abbyk! brilliant!
ReplyDeleteOr should that be "I don't know nowt about..." lol
ReplyDeleteI hope he makes it out alive!
ReplyDeleteOh Lordy Miss Scarlett, he can't snuff it! He jus' can't!
ReplyDeleteHee hee - nice one abbyk!!
ReplyDeleteI saw pictures of next week when the first funeral takes place and in the hurse theres flowers saying 'daddy' so is it peter or ashley? they're the only two i can think of that are still trapped and have children
ReplyDeleteIt really can't be Peter. I would be devastated!! They said in the Uncovered Live special that the crash would be the start of many storylines and not the end. So I am thinking that maybe Nick told Peter about the affair and when they get out alive (here's hoping) they will all have to deal with the big revelation. That would be a better story than killing him off, right? I would love to see a former bigamist deal with finding out that someone cheated on him!
ReplyDeleteThe pictures could be a red herring....
ReplyDeleteI have sat and wondered, 'What would Blanche Hunt do at a time like this?'
ReplyDeleteAnd the only answer I can think of is, grab a deckchair, some long wooden skewers and a bag of marshmallows and sit at the fire outside the Peacocks house toasting marshmallows and cutting those superb one-liners of hers into the mix...
"What are you telling me Kenneth? That Devs shop has a tram embedded in it? How much do you think he's going to overchage for it?"
Seriously, thoughts of Blanche Hunt are making it all slightly better to bear!
Oh, Anonymous, that's a brilliant thought about Blanche on her deckchair with marshmallows & one-liners! It does take the edge off things for me too!
ReplyDeletelet peter live and put him with carla. they are the only 2 i can watch on this programme now.
ReplyDeletekill john stape, his character is crap.
