Gosh - dominoes online with Albert Tatlock! do they do horlicks & a tartan knee blanket as well:) might give that a try actually, I'm knocking on a bit & always liked uncle Albert
Thanks peoples, you are right, they are very strange dominoes aren't they? I once had four in my hand exactly the same. I also don't like the way Albert steers the game into the middle so you end up with only one end to play. Never played like that when I was a child. I think he cheats!
I used to love watching the cantankerous, grumpy Albert in the Street.
Apparently, Jack Howarth who played him wasn't that far removed from the character he portayed. However, he did work tirelessly for charity and unlike a lot of today's stars he didn't suffer any airs & graces and even used public transport to get around.
I remember a number of years ago, William Roache saying that of all the Corrie stars who have now sadly left us he is the one that he misses most!

ReplyDeleteThat's a very strange set of dominos that Albert's got.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't see his dominoes! but I had a go - it doesn't seem to end though - you could be on there for HOURS!
ReplyDeleteI gave him a game (I lost) but the dominoes don't seem to be unique. I laid 6:5 and so did he!
ReplyDeleteYes, there seems to be more than one set of dominoes! I'm going back on - I'm addicted now!
ReplyDeleteI gave it a shot, and I won! I actually really enjoy playing dominoes. Nice addition to Christine's pages.

You can use the arrows round the edge of the table to reposition the dominoes.
ReplyDeleteIt seems odd to see Albert's picture below the post about Richard Hillman! The programme altered so much!
