After reading in
The Sun today that Charlotte's being killed off I'm really annoyed that so many good, funny, quirky Coronation Street females turn bad. Why get rid of her? She's brilliant! And there's another one, Mary, who's wonderful but she too turned bunny boiler. Come on, Corrie, there's a few on the current cast given too much air time already who could do with being culled. Leave Charlotte alone!
Thats great - Hated her voice, look, smile - Everything about her!
ReplyDeleteMad as a box of frogs, which is why she's such a good character. Unfortunately with her out of the way, it's one less reason for Stape to be axed.
ReplyDeleteI thought we had seen the last of her already. Why bother bringing her back to kill her off?
ReplyDeleteI think they should have "kept her alive" so that she could've come back at some point - I thought she was brilliant.
ReplyDeleteI never liked her and have enjoyed not seeing her recently. I had hoped she was gone for good after Fiz gave her what's for. Can't say I'll be sad to never see her again.
ReplyDeleteSounds like she is going to come back, probably still filled with guilt and going to needle John some more. Will he kill her or will she have an accident that he caused? Or is she going to be a tram victim?
ReplyDeleteI tell you what love, you're right about that. There are too many women round here that turn bad or soppy.
ReplyDeleteThat Fiz used to be a spunky girl and now she's shacked up with that John Stape when she should have told him where to go. He was one of the worst drivers we've ever had.
Mary: I used to do crosswords with her and then she goes all obsessive about Norris flamin' Cole.
That Charlotte: she was just a live-wire and now she's skulking about that factory like a guilty dog next to a pool of widdle diddle.
And yet you get that Michelle Connor swanning about everywhere with about as much personality as John Major after a full frontal lobotomy!
I agree that she's a good character but ultimately they couldn't keep her around as she helped John cover up Fishwick's death, and her only links to the Street are him and Fiz - and they don't want her around either.
ReplyDeleteHave to agree with Fat Brenda; how they don't see that Michelle is a dead end, I'll never know. I think they should have kept Charlotte panicked, but not over-the-edge mad. She might have been able to help Fiz get back to her old self, which I think alot of people would like to see happen, and rid the street of John. I also agree with Flaming Nora that they've pushed Mary too far over, also. She used to be naughty but likeable, but they've made her too nasty now. If only we the fans could rule the writers ;)
ReplyDeleteAgree with Brenda too about Michelle, unfortunately the powers that be just cant see it, nor herself either who thinks she is god's gift to Corrie - grrr. Anyway I digress, why bother to kill off Charlotte? Too many deaths lately, she doenst need to be in it again, we would accept she was scared off by the Fiz Bomb.
ReplyDeletei thought we'd a;ready seen the last of her unless she tries to blackmail john and he kills her aswell?
ReplyDeletei hope this doesnt happen theough i want corrie writers to leave fiz and john alone now
maybe she'll die in the tram crash?
i agree about michelle she used to be good when they first brought her in now she jsut swans about with no storylines and they think shes something special
