Anyone know why is Ashley punching John?
ReplyDeleteAshley had the funniest line of last night's episode. He's trying to cheer up a gloomy Graeme, by saying he has lots of good points to offer Tina. Graeme asks him to name some. Ashley thinks hard, for some seconds, pondering in silence. That's enough for Graeme and off he storms. Poor Ashley, pours oil on the fire by calling after:
"Wait, you caught me off guard".
I was laughing out loud in stitches. There's life in Ashley yet.
Danny,
ReplyDeleteIt's not Ashley it's the husband of Charlotte, the one who's been pestering John Stape & Fiz ever since she found out that John was using the identity of their mutual friend, Colin Fishwick to continue teaching.
Apparently, it will transpire that Colin (who's gone to live in Canada) had been having an affair with Charlotte before he left (and her hubby's found out) and what with John using Colin's identity I suppose it's an understandable mistake to make.
Hence, the reason why John is getting thumped in the picture shown!
I didn't realize that Charlotte was married; you wouldn't think so would you.
ReplyDeleteErm ... most long-standing teachers have met their colleagues' spouses. Wouldn't he know Stape isn;t Fishwick?
ReplyDeleteOn a similar note, schoolkids today all know their teachers' first names, so surely Chesney would have recognised the name 'Colin Fishwick' immediately, instead of his vague "We used to have a teacher called Mr Fishwick".
While I enjoyed John's bravura performance at the furniture store, I can;t help thinking the details on this stoyline are far from watertight.
Oh no...that whiny, weak-willed, wispy Maria is returning! Oh please...keep her in Ireland...I'm just not ready for yet more of this awful character!!!
