News in today is that the ashes of Coronation Street cat Frisky fetched £700 at auction.
I have two questions.
1. Who bought them?
2. Why?
The winning bid apparently came from a private buyer.
Frisky’s former owner John Rimington said: “I’m very pleased with the amount raised. I’ll be making a donation from the proceeds to my local Cats Protection charity which my family supported with Frisky making public appearances throughout the 10 years he was the Coronation Street cat.”
Well the sale seemed weird, but I'm awfully pleased that the former owner will making a donation to a local Cat Protection charity; I'm very sure "Frisky" too would have approved.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Something good to come out of this "weird but true" news story.
ReplyDeleteThe sort of thing bought by pubs and restaurants as an "attraction", I would say.
ReplyDeleteGreat jumpin' jehosophat. £700?
ReplyDeleteHave to say does make you wonder why somebody would want to shell out £800 on a dead Tabby's ashes.
ReplyDeleteAs they say, it's a strange, strange world!
Some folks have waaaay too much money, I'd say!
