Keith Duffy, who plays Ciaran McCarthy, is to quit Coronation Street for the second time to concentrate on his band, Boyzone.
The Sunday People reports that Keith snubbed producers' pleas for him to sign a new deal into next year.
Keith said: "I need to concentrate on being with the boys. We've got a lot coming up so I've decided they'll take priority. I love the show so it's been a hard decision. But I know it's right."
Shame. A real shame. Seems pretty pointless in him returning now in the first place.
ReplyDeleteNOOOOOOO!!!! I love Ciaran!!!! Why did he return in the first place if he didn't intend to stay on a bit. I agree with Peter....What a shame.......
ReplyDeleteI'm heartbroken!!
ReplyDeleteNOT.
One block of wood too many.
Nothing lost.
ReplyDeleteAs said above, why return?
Still, his boy band is on the go again after the death of Stephen.
He's going to be here most of this year. Sounds like he already had a lot on for next year to begin with.
ReplyDeleteNot bovvered in the slightest. He has rather "used" Corrie for his own convenience.
ReplyDeleteWhy did he come back? Confused.com
ReplyDeletevery strange unless he agreed to come back before stephen died now he wants to be with the others rather than corrie
ReplyDeleteI'll be sorry to see him go.
ReplyDeleteWhy on earth would anyone care?
ReplyDeleteNot only is he an UTTERLY rubbish actor, but he offers nothing to the series whatsoever.
