Canadian fan Deborah hits the UK national press

Canada's Number One Coronation Street fan has just hit the UK tabloid, the Mirror! Last year, Deborah Cyr won a CBC/Quality Street contest to find the top Canadian Corrie fan. This week she's in Manchester and, according to her Facebook pages, she's met quite a number of actors already. She's in the Mirror today after spending some time waiting outside the car park at Granada Studios. This is something she's done many times before along with other fans, greeting and waving to the actors as they arrive or leave the studios. Many of them will stop and chat and pose for pictures as well. When she gets back, I'm sure she'll be sending messages around about her adventures so I'll try to get her to let us publish her story here. Meanwhile, here's an interview I did with her via email last summer after she won the contest.

  1. I know we all show our love of the show in different ways, but isn't hanging around the entrance to the place where actors work a little desperate...?

  2. It's a good way to meet up with your favourite actors though. And it's harmless fun :)

  3. There are a lot of exagerations in this story. I've spent a few hours there.
