Breaking news, Tracy Barlow's coming back!

This just in and it's official because ITV says so, Kate Ford will be back on screen as Tracy Barlow this spring with a view to a permanent return by the end of the year!

ITV reports that we'll see her in prison for a couple of months in the spring and will be involved with a storyline with "another well loved character" and will likely be out of prison and back on the cobbles by year's end.

The "well loved character" can only be Steve - or possibly Becky - and having her back to cause trouble with Steve and Becky will be interesting, to say the least. And if you think the neighbours gave kidnapper John Stape a headache, can you imagine what they'll do with a murderer? Stay tuned!

  1. No! No! No! She was sent away for 15 years for manslaughter in 2007. How can she be out so soon?

  2. Kim Crowther said that the Barlows will be prominent in their 50th year. With Tracy there, their complete. She'll probably appear for Blanche's funeral maybe?

  3. I'm glad she is back, Corrie has been stuck in the doldrums for a good few years now. She could appeal against the courts decision in the light of some new evidence (perhaps the person she helps helps her in return?). People say Kate Ford is a bad actress, but lets face it, she is OK compared to some in the show right now

  4. I am really excited about this as I did like Tracy and I think Kate Ford is a good actress. But...I have to say even though it would be great to have her back for a guest stint, having her released full time is completely unrealistic even for soapland because she got 15 years!!

Maybe her SL will have something to do with Tony? They will both be in jail and he is 'well loved'!
Or she may appear for Blanche's funeral? I guess most likely she will be involved with Steve/Becky.

  5. Why?

Kate's had a baby but not had much work since Corrie. As people have said she wasn't great at the start and IMHO not great at the end.

Personally I would retire most of the Barlows now that Blanche has gone.

I would like to see Tracyluv come back for a cameo, say Blanche's funeral but would not like to see the grinning one back for good.

  7. I agree that it stretches credibility, to say the least, for a woman convicted of a violent murder and serving a 15 year sentence to be to be freed after just 2 years. Clearly, the producers of Corrie have noe regard whatever for authenticity.
