It's the battle of the Barlows, but whose side are you on? Should Peter and Leanne be allowed to open a bar despite being theirs being an alcoholic-prossie partnership and should Ken keep his nose out?Or are you on Ken's side? Does he only have his son's best interests at heart or is he just a self-righteous old duffer? Whose side are you on? I think I'm agreeing with Deirdre, whatever she decides is ok by me!
Yes I'm on Deidre's side too, she seems to be the only level-headed one in all of this!
ReplyDeleteThis wouldnt get off the ground in "real" life. No Council would agree to a bar bang in the middle of a residential area with no parking in a trillion years. Ken is a pompous old ass though but that's what makes him Ken.

ReplyDeleteHopefully it won't come to pass, for all of Matilda's reasons. Peter will be stuck with a business loan, and end up selling to Carla. The factory needed more space it never got.
I would think it would be a terrible place to open a bar, under a viaduct with the tram rattling over it ever few minutes. But for argument's sake...
ReplyDeleteIf it were just Peter's health Ken was worried about, he would have expressed his concerns and left it there but with George's money tossed in his face, and the Grandad rivalry around, Ken has taken up a crusade using Peter's health as a cover story. He's being an ass as usual. I can't see a lot of difference between having one pub on the street and having a pub and a bar. I think i'm on Peter's side of this. It might be a bad idea for him to be involved in a bar, but Ken is still more at fault for being underhanded and sneaky and totally obnoxious.
Ihave to say im on Peters side. He is a good dad and i think he'll stay on the wagon
