New characters for Coronation Street

There's some new faces appearing on the cobbles this autumn.

First off is an old face returning when Emily's niece Freda comes back to see her aunt after she loses her job and needs somewhere to stay.

We already know that Anthony Valentine is joining the cast as George, Simon Barlow's grandfather, and he'll be bringing with him his wife Eve, who'll be played by Sabina Franklyn.

And Jennifer Hennessy joins the cast as Bernie. She'll play an attractive golf instructor who Dev falls for. But will the return of Sunita put a stop to him playing around?
