Business, Not Pleasure: Fri July 31, 2009 Corrie Episode Review

Written by Martin Allen (7:30) and Mark Wadlow (8:30), directed by David Kester.

Fiz still can't find her wedding ring. She confessed to Julie that she and John Stape are engaged to be married, much to Julie's shock and joy. Julie thinks it's romantic to be married in prison. Chesney steals Rosie's car in a plan to drive to the prison and chuck Fiz's ring in telling John Stape to stuff it. He accidentally almost runs down Anna, and Anna helps him clear the crime scene and run away. Anna warms him against petty crimes, else he turn out like her Gary.

Tony plays it cool with Maria. Maria decides she needs help with the baby and takes Barry and Helen up on their offer to stay with them in Ireland for a while. Maria's off to the land of Beggorah and Bejesus and Tony's not happy about it.

David continues to play keep-away with Joe's pills. David finds out about Jason and Tina buying a flat together and tells Joe that he must try to break them up, or else he'll not get his precious pills. Joe feebly tries to break Tina and Jason up, but it doesn't work, as Jason and Tina profess their love for one another. Joe's attempts only makes both Tina and Gail more upset with him and only affords him one measly pill from David. Joe tells David he can shove it, he'll find another way. Just how?

Becky is starting her wedding plans and takes Anna up on an offer to have "Tasty Treats by Eddie" bake her up a cake for her big day. Roy gives Becky £200 towards her wedding expenses to which Becky makes Roy admit that he's a "peach." What a sweet, sweet man our Roy is. Becky sees Slug outside the Rovers again and asks him what he wants. She assumes he wants cash, so she offers him some, but he refuses. Betty oversees this interaction with a curious eye.

  2. Is there a special award for "fastest issuing of a child passport", as baby Lian must have got his in record time.
