Coronation Street - Out of Africa DVD review

If anyone's already bought and watched the Coronation Street - Out of Africa DVD yet, please do leave a comment and let other Corrie fans know what it's like.

Is it worth buying for a Christmas present for a Corrie fan? Or is it a Christmas turkey?

  1. Coronation Street: Out of Africa is a fun film set in the sun and seaside resort of Sun City, South Africa. Cilla Battersby, the mother from hell, brought her son and other "son" over to Africa to win a competition for $500,000

The characters of the film are more coulourful and shine out just as much as the characters on the Weatherfield street, from the new Les, to the crazy TV presenter, who tries to undermine the contestants of the competition.

The locations are dazzling (there is even a flashback of a Las Vegas casino!) the Street also features at the start, with cameo's from Becky, Tina and Sophie. The whole film is stunning and well shot

The editing and camera angles really bring Coronation Street to life, and the music used in it really helps make it all feel special.

The plot is entertaining for the word go, and will keep you laughing from start to finish, Coronation Street really shows what it still has left to give the nation, and why it is still No.1 after 48 long years.

I know I might be a little bias with the rating, but I can honestly say I cannot find one thing I was let down on, the whole thing really felt like a dive into the life of Coronation Street's best family.

    10/10

  2. I really look forward to seeing this movie, but I love in the United States. I have no problem finding regular episodes of Corrie to watch online, but a DVD's a different story. Has anyone seen it for download? Thanks. :-)

  3. I heard it will be available through CBC over here in North America though i don't know when and not even 100% sure if that's true but i suspect it will be. I'm getting it for Christmas, i know this already :)

  4. I'm hoping that I will get it for Christmas too - but if I don't, I probably won't buy it myself but wait until it's being knocked down to £2.99 in the spring sales ;-)

  5. Look to the high seas. If you can keep the pirates at bay, you will probably find what you seek.

  6. I know many of you might not like me saying this but I have loved all the corrie spin offs, this however is absolute drivel.

The storyline could have been written by my 12 year old, the gags are obvious and the style of filming is odd to say the least. As for the music any fan of wild at heart will spot that no effort went in to that either as its been directly ported across and its the same part played over and over again.

    save your money..
