Here's the plot line I'd have liked to see happen, after last night's episode that was broadcast in Canada (showing the feckless Liam about to take the cold, rhymes-with-snitch Carla to bed):
Tony, Carla's fiance who seems to always be barely suppressing his inner psycho, returns home from his business trip and finds Carla and Liam in flagrante delicto, so to speak.
Tony kills both of them in bloody fashion, and runs away, tra la.
Liam's widow Maria, and perhaps also his sister Michelle, then inherit the factory, and run it successfully, perhaps expanding it to include some high-end fashions.
Personally, I HATED the dead-baby storyline, and found the Liam-Carla connection a complete bore!!!
I fear Coronation Street is becoming completely Americanized, and not in a good way.
If I wanted to watch self-involved starlets who think their glow-in-the-dark gigantic teeth are the only required acting talents they need possess--well, there are endless cheap American soap operas and so-called reality shows for that. Bring back Cilla and Les! Or at least SOMEONE mildly amusing or interesting.
Carla!
ReplyDeletedeffo there soo cute
I agree, it's so wrong them being together - but so right at the same time!
ReplyDeleteCarla, I don't know where him and Maria came from...?
ReplyDeleteHe seems happier with Carla, I agree. And also more miserable!
