Bring back Spider to Coronation Street

Am I the only Corrie fan who wishes they'd bring back Spider Nugent to the Street?

He's much missed and could do wonders in a storyline for Norris and Aunty Em.

Even better, bring Spider back with Toyah to set up a juice bar on Rosamund Street.

Want more on Spider? Have a look here and remind yourself just how brilliant Weatherfield's only eco-warrier was.

  1. Nooooooooo!!
Oh how I hated him, he looked like the stank and had an accent enough to make me want to change the tv channel. For those who don't remember him, the 'acting' was a thousand times more dreadful than Dev on a bad day.
    Please please no.

  8. Yes, I hope the recent reference to him was a sign that a return is being considered. And if he comes back with Toyah it will allow some cracking lighter storylines for Leanne.

They could buy Ashley's old butcher's shop and open up a juice bar there (The one they had in London having fell victim to the recession). I think Sophie Webster would get on very well with Spider.

I'm in no hurry to see Spider again, I wasn't a great fan. Would be nice to see Toyah back though, so if Spider was part of that package, I could live with it.

However, it's highly unlikely that it will happen unless they change actor(s), I imagine they are both fairly busy.

Lets not get caught up in the golden wave of nostalia - while it was Frosty that suggested Spider come back to visit his auntie M, he would now be middle aged and proably no longer an eco warrior. It would be nice to see a storyline with Emily rather than that ridiculous falling off a ladder when a lady her age would have been really hurt and not released the same day from Lourdes General.

  14. No, I was glad to see him leave.

  15. Well, Spider may well be a middle-aged leftie by now, but the street needs a new spongy old leftie now that there's a fair chance that Ken Barlow might be getting compulsorily put out to pasture/sent to the knackers' yard.

Bring him back, I say. Mind you, if the juice bar in trendy Clapham didn't go well I don't fancy it taking on on Weatherfield.
