Back at the bistro Debbie entertains the wedding guests by singing Hopelessly Devoted to You and proposing to Ronnie! Eventually Bernie returns to the Bistro and walks down the aisle with Kit. With the service about to start, Dev and Bernie share loving looks, but suddenly Bernie struggles to breathe and collapses in front of a shocked Dev. As Bernie lies on the bistro floor, gasping for breath, Asha comes to her aid while Gemma calls an ambulance and Dev and the wedding guests watch helplessly. At No.5, Chesney notices the livestream has cut out just as an ambulance passes by. Will they get to Bernie in time? At the bistro, the wedding guests survey the untouched buffet, wondering what to do, when suddenly Asha arrives and announces that Dev wants the family at the hospital.

How will she explain herself? Abi sneaks out to the ginnel to find Carl waiting for her. When Carl reiterates that he meant everything he said and he wants to be with her, Abi can’t help but grin.

Meet Coronation Street's new family who'll run The Rovers Return

ITV have confirmed that Corrie favourite Eva Price is returning to the cobbles this autumn as the landlady of The Rovers Return, and she won’t be alone!

Catherine Tyldesley is back filming top secret scenes in Weatherfield and she has been joined by two exciting new additions to the cast.

Acclaimed actors Aaron McCusker and Pauline McLynn will be arriving alongside Catherine as Eva’s partner Ben Driscoll and his interfering mother Maggie.

Eva and Ben will be revealed to residents as the new owners of The Rovers Return in October - putting Eva back behind the bar of the nation’s favourite pub for the first time since 2018.

Eva will be reunited with her sisters Leanne and Toyah, as well as catching up with her old friends and neighbours. But what has she been up to since she left Weatherfield and how will this new clan fit into the drama on the Street?

Also joining the cast will be Ben’s two sons and Eva’s daughter Suzie and it is safe to say the Price/Driscoll family will be arriving with a bang and a suitcase full of secrets.

Corrie fans will recognise Pauline as Mrs Doyle in Father Ted and Libby Croker in Shameless. She also appeared in Eastenders as Yvonne Cotton in 2014.

Aaron is best known for playing Jamie McGuire in Shameless, he also starred as Jim Hutton, Freddie Mercury's boyfriend, in the 2018 feature film Bohemian Rhapsody.

Catherine left Coronation Street in 2018 after seven years on the cobbles. Since waving farewell to Weatherfield she has appeared in dramas such as Viewpoint, Suspicion, Scarborough and most recently The Good Ship Murder.

Coronation Street producer Kate Brooks said: “We are beyond thrilled that Eva is returning as the landlady of the Rovers, with her new blended family in tow. The Driscolls do not arrive quietly, so expect big drama, explosive secrets and raucous knees ups galore. To have actors of Catherine, Aaron and Pauline's considerable calibre at the beating heart of this family is absolutely wonderful, and we can't wait for you to get to know and fall in love with them as much as we have already done. Strap yourselves in, it's going to be an exciting and eventful ride.”

Meet the new landlord of the Rovers Return

The Sun reports today that Coronation Street have signed up actor Aaron McCusker as the new landlord of the Rovers Return.

Aaron will team up with Catherine Tyldesley, who plays Eva Price, to run the Corrie pub. Aaron's character will be Eva's husband.

Aaron played Jamie Maguire in Channel 4’s Shameless.

A TV insider said: "Corrie bosses were never going to take EastEnders shrewd decision to reinstate Kat and Alfie at the Vic lying down. So they took their time looking for the perfect actor to play her husband to Eva as she makes her return to Corrie as the new boss of the Rovers. When Aaron walked in, and once paired with Catherine, bosses knew they had the perfect partnership to run the soap's iconic pub.  Aaron will bring his Irish charm to the pub, and the chemistry between him and Cath is electric.
It’s the start of an exciting new chapter in the pub’s history.”

Let's just hope it works.
