Christina almost gets caught by Daniel with her burner phone and Jenny's secret stash of dough is revealed by Rita to Daisy. It was always going to come out - Rita was never going to keep her trap shut. She's only ever been one "Now look here, lady" from spilling the beans. Daniel does discover the 2 phones and Daisy confesses their plan. Daniel is unimpressed, saying he doesn't like her "scheming, lying, manipulative side". Daniel's got a point - once a catfisher, always a catfisher. Daisy and Jenny row about the pub although it hardly seems worth arguing about given that the place is set on fire every few years and it went bankrupt not too long ago. Daisy then burns her bridges with Daniel as well by refusing to give up her plan.
Talking of characters who are leaving, after making up with Eilash, George is again in Eileen's bad books by not cleaning up some salad dressing, which she then slips in and George won't take her to the hospital because he has a meeting. To be honest, this seems like a worse crime than telling Brian not to go out with Julie.
Debbie is given a formal diagnosis of vascular dementia and a leaflet (shmeaflet) but she tells Carl that she doesn't want to tell the rest of the family yet. Carl is upset but tells Abi that it's Kev's cancer distressing him. She tells him she likes him (but not like-likes him); unfortunately he gets the wrong end of the stick and kisses her. Meanwhile, a woman with dementia approaches Debbie outside the hospital and she sees a glimpse of her future and calls it off with Ronnie even though he's just bought Yasmeen's house for them both.
Lauren receives some mystery texts re: the van thievery whilst Betsy refuses to go to college. To be fair, I had been shot in the arm, I'd be milking it big time, but in Betsy's case it just seems an excuse to behave even more brattily. "Sometimes I think Carla doesn't like me," she tells her mum. It's hardly surprising, is it.
