Ian Puleston-Davies, who plays Owen Armstrong in Coronation Street, has been talking to Inside Soap magazine about filming his final scenes as Owen.
He talks about Faye's baby storyline and how the baby puts extra pressure between Anna and Owen. Owen attacks Craig, who he thinks is Faye's baby's father and then Owen is carted off by the police and has to spend a night in the cells.
Owen is in the doghouse with Anna, but instead of begging for forgiveness from her, he suggests that the baby is put up for adoption.
As they row, Anna tells Owen she doesn't love him any more.
Ian says: "It adds extra poignancy when you realise you're doing this for the last time. There's a collection of rows, and by the time they reach the big one, I think Anna and Owen are exhausted. They part for circumstantial reasons, not because they've actually fallen out of love.
"Owen thinks they can work it out but Anna's not prepared to do that. So maybe he'll go away and realise he could have done more..."
I wonder if when he goes away, he'll be on the first plane to Portugal? And wouldn't this be a great time to bring Eddie Windass back?

Corrie's Dean Fagan turns theatre director
Dean and his pals from student days at Salford University have set up a new theatre company, Perfectly Flawed, and are preparing to showcase their first production in April at the Salford Arts Theatre.
Dean has been working on the production in between his filming commitments on Corrie.
Perfectly Flawed is a theatre adaptation of the brooding John Fowles novel The Collector, which will star Mark Frampton as the obsessive Frederick Clegg who kidnaps beautiful young art student Miranda Greg, played by Louise Pridding, after winning the pools and buying a remote country house to keep her imprisoned. The Collector, which is suitable for audiences over 16, will play at the Salford Arts Theatre from April 23-25. For tickets see salfordartstheatre.com.
The Manchester Evening News has some pictures, well worth a look.

Guess who discovers Tracy and Tony's secret?
Ooh, that Todd!
According to this week's Inside Soap magazine, Todd finds out about Tracy and Tony after he spies a stolen kiss between the two of them. I don't know about you, but I have to hide behind a cushion every time they come on screen.
Inside Soap says that Todd figures out that Tracy is having an affair with Tony and threatens to spill the beans to Liz. Tracy's quick to buy Todd's silence with a payrise at Barlow's Buys and hints that he could be part of her business plans for the future if he stays schtum.
But will he stay quiet? And will we ever find out what happened to Todd in that London to turn him into such a nasty piece of work?

Sarah Platt's return - what did you think?
What did you all make of the return of Sarah Platt last night to Coronation Street?
I LOVED it.
From her storming into the Platt household with a growling "Where IS she?" at daughter Bethany, through to the 'bride of chucky' comment from David and the clueless Jason wondering if Roberto was the Italian name for Robert, the double episodes had me chuckling from start to end.
And then the knowing looks between Sarah and Bethany, mum and daughter bonding over chips instead of Gail's bangers and mash, were lovely scenes to watch too.
I can't wait to see more of Sarah Lou - "Mum! How many times do I have to tell you? It's SARAH!" winding up half-brother David and she'll do this in fine style when she starts a snog fest with Callum.
Next week on Corrie, Sarah and Jason wind up Bethany by pretending to get cosy together. Callum tries to flirt with Sarah but she sends him packing. Then Sarah is taken aback when Jason tells her that his feelings for her are long gone. Realising this was Bethany's idea of a joke, they decide to get their own back and set about winding Bethany up.

There are paparazzi pictures online showing Coronation Street filming Steve and Michelle's wedding today. They're behind-the-scenes pictures and give nothing away, so there's no need not to look if you don't like spoilers.
The pics show Kym Marsh (Michelle Connor) and Simon Gregson (Steve McDonald) in their filming outfits along with Beverley Callard (Liz McDonald) wearing a wonderful bow in her hair. It has to be seen to be believed.
We won't be putting the pictures on our website here as we haven't paid for the pics, but Digital Spy have some good ones on their site. Have a look here.

Triplets join Coronation Street as Faye's new baby
Faye's baby Miley is born in Coronation Street next week. Miley will be played by triplets Erin, Eilah and Elsie.
All three babies from Lancashire will take turns in front of the camera as Miley. The triplets were cast after Corrie put out a call to casting agents and put up posters in hospital maternity units in the region asking for identical twin girls to play the newborn.
Their proud dad Martyn Halliwell told the Manchester Evening News: “My cousin, who is a theatre actor, suggested that we should get in touch with an agent. He said, ‘There is a high demand for twins, let alone triplets'. We sent some photos over and within two hours we heard back to say they had a client who was interested. On the Monday we were at Coronation Street.”
Martyn, a 29-year-old sales manager, and the triplets’ mum Laura Slinger, a 26-year-old beautician from Padiham, are delighted at how well the girls, born on October 27, have taken to being on Coronation Street.
The triplets will make their first appearance on Good Friday when a shocked Faye goes into premature labour in the empty flat above Dev’s corner shop.

Sarah Louise Platt - a quick re-cap in pictures
Sarah is the daughter of Brian Tilsley (who was stabbed to death up an alley behind a nightclub) and Gail Tilsley. When Sarah was born questions were raised about her paternity, due to Gail's affair with Brian's cousin, Ian Latimer and Brian rejected Sarah, believing she was not his daughter; until a blood test reveals otherwise
Sarah is sister to Nick Tilsley and half-sister to David Platt, granddaughter to Audrey Roberts and mother to Bethany.
Sarah's storylines have included a controversial and ground-breaking underage pregnancy which saw her giving birth to Bethany Platt and saw Sarah deal with motherhood in her teens..
...internet grooming by a man more than twice her age
...being left for dead in a car crash, the car was driven by Aiden Critchley
...being driven into a canal by step dad Richard Hillman
...having a baby with Todd Grimshaw.
Sadly, baby Billy died a day after he was born. Sarah dumped Todd when she found out he'd been seeing Karl, a male nurse at work.
She hit back at Todd by sleeping with his brother Jason.
...and managed to get Jason up the aisle on their wedding day. They didn't get wed - Jason did a runner out of the toilet window. He sent Sarah a text: "Sorry babes, I couldn't do it"
...eventually marrying Jason despite David's attempts to ruin her big day. As Sarah and Jason exchanged vows, David drove his car into the canal. This was 31 October 2007.
Sarah left Weatherfield later in 2007 with Bethany. She flew off to work in Milan for her Canadian uncle Steven (Audrey's son and Gail's half-brother).
While in Milan she divorced Jason.
And now she's returning! This could be fun. I can't wait to see Eileen's face.

TRACY’S HOPES ARE GONE WITH THE WOODWIND. Tony tells Liz and Michelle the money has come through from the house sale and he’s paid off Steve’s tax bill. Michelle nervously breaks the news to Steve but Steve’s grateful and she’s relieved by his reaction. Meanwhile Tracy mithers Tony about the money, telling him her plans for expanding the business. Tony lies, making out the money hasn’t come through yet. But as they all attend Amy’s recorder recital at school, Steve thanks Tony for lending him the money for his tax bill. Will Tracy realise that Tony’s been stringing her along?
ANOTHER HURRICANE FROM ITALY HITS THE PLATTS. Bethany’s unimpressed after being forced to work at the Bistro for the day for free. As Gail tries to lay down the law, suddenly the front door flies open and Sarah storms in. Bethany cowers as Sarah tears a strip off her, revealing the truth behind Bethany’s sudden arrival in Weatherfield.
CRAIG’S BEHAVIOUR TROUBLES TIM. As Craig implores Faye to reconsider her plans for the impending birth, Tim approaches. Sensing there’s something going on, Tim corners Craig and demands to know what Faye is keeping from him. Will Craig crumble under pressure?
ELSEWHERE Sally spends the day working as Norris’s butler. Sharif enlists the help of Zeedan and Simon with his allotment. Gail struggles with the web of deceit she’s created.
MONDAY 30TH MARCH
TONY STRUGGLES TO CONTAIN VOLCANIC TRACY. Furious with Tony for lending Steve the money behind her back, Tracy threatens to reveal their affair. Desperate to keep her quiet, Tony explains to Liz and Michelle how Tracy had hoped he would put the money into their business and he’s let her down. Cornering Tracy in the Rovers backyard, Tony apologises but Tracy’s unforgiving and stalks off. Calling at No.1 Tony begs for Tracy’s forgiveness, suggesting they have a weekend away in a hotel of her choice. Can Tony win Tracy back round?
SARAH RETURNS WITH A BANG. Sarah continues to tear a strip off Bethany, furious at her behaviour in Milan. Bethany’s unrepentant and picking up an ornament she hurls it at Sarah. Gail, Michael, Audrey and David watch, open-mouthed. Jason finds tearful Bethany on Maxine’s bench. Bethany moans about her life in Milan and how Sarah ignores her most of the time. Realising how unhappy Bethany is, will Sarah agree they can stay?
CRAIG’S LOYALTY TO FAYE TEARS HIM APART. Tim and Sally quiz Craig over his relationship with Faye. Craig assures them Faye is just a good friend but will they realise there’s more to it?
ELSEWHERE Fed up with being treated like a slave, Sally quits her job as Norris’s butler. David becomes mildly suspicious of Gail’s strange behaviour.

Coronation Street Episode Review, Sunday 29 March 2015
Between the snow and Liz’s hair tinsel on
tonight’s Corrie, you’d be forgiven for thinking Christmas had returned. But
no, spring is here, the clocks have gone forward, and Faye is running out of time. Craig agrees to help her
have her baby in the flat above the corner shop if she consents to him doing a dry
run to the hospital, while Tim’s suspicions that the pair are up to something are
put to bed by a delightfully patronising Sally. I’m not sure why Craig’s hold
all being nearly robbed at the bus
stop put paid to his hospital run, and while I have enjoyed this story so far,
particularly the relationship between Craig and Faye, and the performances from
both actors, I would have expected mounting anxiety at this point considering
how upset she has been of late and the fact that the due date looms.
Fearing competition from a new shop, Tracy is excited to learn from Todd that Tony has sold Jason’s place. She successfully seduces him into Barlow’s Buys and conveniently makes out that she has just spotted the ad for the new business in the paper and knows nothing of Tony’s sale of the house. He sees straight through her and his reaction is one of bemused admiration, leading me to continue to find this pair strangely endearing. Time will tell if he will use the cash to help out debt-ridden Steve, or pump money into a larger premises for Barlow’s Buys.
Chaos continues at the Platt's where a belligerent
Bethany resists being returned to Milan . Nick continues to glide into every scene like something of a cynical jester, and his demeanour persists even after she throws his
car keys into the garden and makes her bid for freedom. Her attempt at
refuge in Barlow’s Buys falls flat as “traitor” Todd reveals her hiding place. She refuses to go back to Milan
and Nick notes she has now missed her flight; odd considering she only appeared
to be missing for mere seconds from the time she was to depart for the airport. Meanwhile, David brings Max to the park to meet Callum where the latter is happy to make a
passer-by believe he and David are a couple. Gail has had enough of the lot of them and declares she’s off to the
Rovers in the hope that she can bid for a whole new family, indicating that the whole concept
of a butler auction may be lost on her.
Balloons, butchered banners and non-streak tan are
the order of the day as Sean whips himself into a frenzy over his big gig. I
had hoped to enjoy this event, and while there were amusing moments courtesy
of usual suspects Sally and Tim and asides from others, there were sadly too many things which didn't work for me despite my willing it on. The Nazir’s duping Sharif into wearing a dinner suit felt mean spirited, Tyrone explaining that he had gravy all down his back
because he simply liked gravy left me puzzled, and Jenny Bradley getting drunk and coming across rather badly was disappointing.
Emily’s concern at the tone of the evening and request
to Liz to keep the bad language to a minimum on the basis that it was for the church, had me
wondering why they were having the event in a pub and not the underused community
centre. I also can't forget that this is a woman who not so long ago revealed that she was a fan of Breaking Bad. Her female church companions, to whom she continually apologised,
appeared appalled one minute and were declaring their love for Carry On movies
the next. Further, the snide manner in which they spoke about and reacted to Norris
was jarring; perhaps they worship at the Sophie Webster school of christianity.
A bidding war ensues between Mary and Emily for
Kal and Sharif, but in true Bargain Hunt style, there is also a phone bidder in
the form of Zeedan; a nice touch. Yasmeen has instructed him that they are not to be
auctioned to any woman under the age of 70, and apparently has a list of jobs for them. Sean
may think he looks like David Dickinson, but Zeedan could do with some lessons from
the bobby dazzler, as when Mary bids £40 for the pair, he jumps straight in at £100, securing
them for far more than he probably needed to.
The absence of Sophie Webster courtesy of a tummy bug sees
her mother conned into participating by a rather unpalatable Jenny; I know Sally has been less than welcoming to her, but Jenny's continued dignity in the face of adversity has been her trump card, and it's a shame to see her show a less than attractive side. In any case, as Sally’s name
is chanted from within, an approaching Steve asks “is it a charity auction or a
human sacrifice?” and again, I’m laughing. As Jenny, Norris and Gail vie for “her
ladyship,” Tim fails to come to the rescue by claiming to be skint before
ordering a massive round. Norris, or, “The confused man with the spectacles”, ends up
winning Sally’s services with a bid to the tune of £100, placed only to refute the
rumour cited by the church ladies about him being a penny pincher.
A throwaway comment from Michelle about being happy with a long engagement sends Steve into a spiral of doubt which culminates in him telling her he can’t marry her on the grounds that he’s doing her a favour.
It’s good to see Leanne, Lloyd and Andrea rally around to offer both Steve and Michelle some much needed support. Michelle decides to show him just how much she wants to marry him by setting up a candlelit meal for two in the back room, but when Steve returns he completely misunderstands the situation, and storms into the bar to accuse Tony of being insensitive by wining and dining Liz while himself and Michelle are suffering. Out of all the one liners that peppered tonight’s hour long episode, Steve’s accusation that Tony was hosting a “Barry White sex party” saw me burst out laughing despite my incredulity at the inexplicable conclusion Steve had jumped to. In any event, the result was a rather moving public proposal by Michelle to plenty of oohs and aahs from the bar.
Based on her deplorable track record when it comes to her treatment of Steve, I never thought I'd want to see him marry Michelle, but she has learned some hard lessons in recent times, and appears to have changed for the better. I hope her transformation lasts and I look forward to seeing them support one another in the times ahead.

British Soap Awards gets rid of 'sexiest' male and female awards
The nominatons for this year's British Soap Awards will be released tomorrow, Monday 30 March. The awards ceremony will be held in Manchester again later this year.
However, this year, there will be no categories for sexiest male and sexiest female. About blinking time too!
There will be a new award category to celebrate “issue-led” story-lines.
A source told the Daily Star Sunday: “It was time to have a bit of a freshen-up. The awards will still be a big, fun celebration but we’ve found a lot of the actors and actresses are a bit embarrassed by the ‘sexiest’ tag.

Corrie Weekly Awards for March 23 - 25
A short one this week as there were only three episodes:
Confessional award: Gavin's mother admits she turned her son against his father. She might want to make peace but the damage was done. Her hatred pushed Gavin to blackmail and ultimately to his death.
Her mother's daughter. Amy knew darn well Liz was buying her off so she wouldn't keep playing the recorder so she soaked her for enough cash for the expensive sweets!
Classics Award: Bethany has done Anna Karenina for school but better than that, she's seen the film, and better than that again, it was one of the old movies with Vivien Leigh! (from 1948)
Musical Ambiance: "At Last" playing when Steve and Michelle announced the engagement.
Lines of the week:
David "Gail is like an old piano. You got to know how to play her or she makes a terrible noise"
Gail to Bethany "I brought up David. I know every trick in the book and more besides"
Bethany about Anna Karenina "It is chick lit. In a way" (for the 19th century, yes, it is!)

Preview of tonight's hour-long Corrie, Sunday 29 March
SUNDAY 29TH MARCH - HOUR LONG EPISODE
STEVE AND MICHELLE ARE CAUGHT IN THE RING CYCLE. Steve’s thrown when Michelle mentions a long engagement, worrying that she doesn’t really want to marry him and only agreed out of pity. When Michelle then adds there’s no rush to buy an engagement ring, not wanting to pressurise Steve, his doubts multiply. Convinced his illness makes him a burden to her, Steve calls off the engagement. Michelle decides to fight for Steve and sets about preparing a surprise for him. Lloyd steers Steve back to the Rovers to face Michelle, where he finds the back room romantically decorated with candles. Michelle follows him into the bar and the auction grinds to a halt as she passionately professes her love for Steve then gets down on one knee and proposes. Will Steve accept?
BETHANY RUNS CIRCLES ROUND NICK. Nick prepares to drive Bethany to the airport. Determined to miss the flight, Bethany throws away his car keys and runs off. Todd finds Bethany hiding in Barlow’s Buys and hands her over to Nick. Nick’s weary as Bethany defiantly insists he cannot force her to board a plane. Chaos reigns at No.8 as Gail phones to tell furious Sarah that Bethany missed her flight.
CRAIG DOES A DUMMY RUN. Faye’s set on giving birth in the shop flat and wants Craig to take the baby to hospital afterwards. But as Craig sets out on a practice run of his journey will they realise the dangers of this plan?
ELSEWHERE Sean and Billy host the butlers’ auction at the Rovers. The night proves to be a success. On a high Billy suggests he spend the night at Sean’s. David’s downcast as Max gets excited about spending the day with Callum. Todd mischievously informs Tracy that Tony’s sold Jason’s house and may be keen to invest in expanding the business. Tracy gets dolled up and summons Tony to the closed shop. Post-coital Tracy drops hints to Tony about expanding. Will Tony see through her tactics?

Interview with Coronation Street's Sam
There's a good interview over on Digital Spy with Peter Mitchell, who can be seen on Corrie as Sinead's friend Sam, in hospital.
Peter has also worked on Hollyoaks and now he's in Corrie he says it's "unbelievable".
"When I heard about the audition, I got very excited. We see a lot of actors jumping between the soaps, but for me to do nine months in Hollyoaks and now a bit in Corrie is crazy. I thought I would never get that sort of opportunity. Coronation Street to me is the biggest soap in the UK, so to be a part of that and get a storyline is fantastic."
Peter is also filming a BBC Three documentary and says: "I've always had the idea of me going out and talking to people who are going through the same thing I did 12 years ago - people who weren't born with disabilities but have ended up using a wheelchair through accidents. I wanted to tell people's stories, see how their lives have changed and what the future holds for them. It's a huge shock for anyone to go through that, as it's a completely different lifestyle after you have an accident."
