He isn't gobby or feisty (wrong gender)and his first appearance wasn't rescuing Carla from an assailant. So fed up with the clichéd just-happening-to-be-passing character who intervenes in the nick of time. Reminds me a bit of Liam Connor - happy co-incidence probably but they were cousins.
