Would you pull a sickie to watch Coronation Street?

Have you ever pulled a sickie to stay off work to watch Coronation Street?

It seems a fair few fans do, and not just Corrie fans either.

Yesterday we posted results from a poll that showed Coronation Street was voted most popular soap in the UK with people who use the GalaBingo.com website. And the survey also said that fans plan their schedules around watching soap on TV.

But it also revealed that  fans admitted to telling porky pies in order to watch Coronation Street. Soap fans admitted skipping a date (4%) so they could watch Corrie. Others had bailed on family commitments (6%) and 2% had even called work sick in order to catch an episode.

I can think of nothing better than a duvet day where all you do is snuggle up on the sofa with a mug of hot tea, some crumpets and a few episodes of Coronation Street to catch up on. But pulling a sickie just to watch the show? I know I wouldn't do it, but, dare you admit that you ever would - or have done?
