In next week's Coronation Street, the previews from ITV tell us that Shona makes plans to move away from Weatherfield - but why?
Once Shona's made her decision, she then tells some of the people she knows on the Street that she's going. But she lies to them all. She tells Roy, Eileen and Todd that she’s moving away as she’s got a new job.
What’s behind her sudden decision to leave the street?
Will Roy just let her go, without any explanation? The preview says that Shona's friends rally round but can they convince her to do a u-turn on her plan to leave?

I'm not invested in her character so it wouldn't bother me in the slightest if she left.
Hmmm, I wonder why she would want to leave, given her son murdered the mother of two kids who live across the street and she constantly sees the widower who attempted to kill her son in revenge? Strange that she would want to stay!
Like Gail said when Shona told her who she was - 'The brass neck on you!' Why on earth would she want to stay?!
What friends? Her character hasn't made much of an impact, anyway.
Her departure would be a good thing. She hasn't really bonded with anyone, her kid is a murderer no one hopes to see again.
She's also trashier than expected: who would snoop through the house of her child's victim and then lecture its inhabitants after hearing that one of them had wanted revenge on him? Corrie already has one character that's blind to her own flaws, no need for another Michelle.
I agree that it's time for Shona to go and I wonder if Billy and the Grimshaws found out her son murdered Kylie a few feet from her homw, would they still want her around a constant reminder to David of his loss?
There was opportunity for her character to be interesting but once I found out she was Clayton's mom I lost interest.
That would be just fine with me. I have absolutely no interest in this character. Her throwing a tizzy after hearing that David wanted to crash into the van with her precious killer son on board was rich. She should be throwing a fit at Clayton the Killer. Bye bye Shona. You make me yawn.
yes, I didn't see the point of the character of Shona, other than to introduce Nathan(her ex) to the street and Bethany. Now that that's been done, there's no need for her to be here. What was she hoping to accomplish by stalking the Platt family? How creepy is that?
Her saving grace could be that she is the one who can put the finger on Nathan and his crimes.
Her snippiness with David is getting old as well...sure he was going to blow her son up...he was distraught...he's always been a little bit of a nutter. What's her excuse?
Good riddance can't stand the character!
