More Kylie Speculation

I blogged here, speculating on how Kylie will die. I'll admit, and it was obvious, that my guesses were all in fun. This time, I'm using my imagination and educated guesses based on soap cliches and laws.

Let me say right here and now, I have absolutely no idea how Kylie will die. ITV are being very cagey about it, even in future spoilers. I do wish they hadn't spoiled that she was going to die at all but they did and cats that are out of the bag cannot be put back in.

Soaps follow a pattern, and there are clues you can follow if you want to guess what's going to happen. There's the Phrase of Doom where someone expresses hope for the future, or how happy they are, or how happy they are together and will be together forever. Uh oh. That's it, they're doomed. Something's going to happen and it isn't going to be pretty.

If someone faints, they're usually pregnant. All sorts of situations that are unusual pop up which are out of character or out of the ordinary. You can bet they're contrived as a means to an end, like when the manhole was introduced to the annex and it was then obvious that was where Callum was going to end up.  That brings me to my speculation on Kylie's death.

It wasn't surprising that Callum's druggie sidekick Macca showed up at his funeral. But since then, he and his ne'er do well brother, Clayton, have been mithering Gemma in the kebab shop. Since she hasn't been out of touch with them all along, mentioning nights at the Dog and Gun frequently where she's probably seen them, they would have known where she was working in all likelihood. Why show up now? Because somehow, their presence is going to contribute to Kylie's death. Soap cliche/law says so.

Kylie's been feeling more and more guilty about the effects that her killing Callum has had on her family. Sarah's had a breakdown. Bethany has been bullied and hasn't been coping well trying to keep it to herself. She's now living in the annex where they stashed Callum's body and feeling unsettled. Even little Max seems to be out of sorts though he said he wasn't bothered that Callum had died. Guilt, upon guilt is weighing heavily on her shoulders.

I don't think she's going to commit suicide. She wouldn't leave her family on purpose again. One idea I had was that she might turn to drugs and accidentally overdose, drugs she could get from Macca but that doesn't quite ring true either.

I think this is what will happen. I think Macca and his brother will threaten Gemma in some way,  or possibly David, because Gemma still suspects David was the one that killed Callum. That scenario actually makes more sense because there really doesn't seem to be a reason the thugs would be out to kill Gemma at this point.  There will be weapons or violence involved and Kylie will get in the middle of it, defending David and get killed by one of them. Possibly it could be one of the men attempting to run David down with a vehicle and Kylie pushing him out of the way.  It is possible that last scenario could happen without the intervention of the "Chuckle Brothers" and Kylie could be pushing David out of the way of a generic car or bus but the interviews and media are saying it's something we've never seen on a soap before.

I'm skeptical about that point, and even Kylie dying while defending or saving David isn't really new but it's the only scenario that really works considering the introduction of the two scallys.

We don't have long to wait. Any other guesses?

My theories, and no idea which one....

1. The bullies. Somehow they kill her. I think child murderers are pretty new in a soap...
2. Max. Again, child murderers not covered. This could be accidental or intentional.
3. Gun crossfire between the drug dealers (but I think this has been done before)

I think it might be some bizarre sequence of events where several bad things happen with a tragic outcome. I like your theories, and Anon's too. Whatever does happen though, I really hope it lives up to the hype and doesn't leave us thinking"was that it"?

My theory

Alex will take Roy's car for a ride. as he drives off Chesney & Gemma chase Macca and his brother out of the kebab shop. Alex swerve's to avoid them and knocks Kylie over.
There you have a death not happened before. The drama would then affect three families, Chesney, Roy and Cathy plus the Platts

Kylie is complaining of a headache (again). I think the stress she is under will trigger off an undiagnosed brain anurysm which will instantly take her life....

John,I also theorised that Alex would be involved Kylie's death only I don't think it will be an accident.I think Gemma angry that Kylie murdered her 'beloved'Callum, will be in the car while Alex is driving, take over the wheel to hit Kylie thus deeply affecting Roy who due to his morality and his friendship to the Platts and Becky will want Alex to report to the police while Cathy wants him to join his mother in Bali where he'll be safe from the law.Needless to say the wedding will be off!
Like Louby,I also hope however Kylie dies,it lives up to all the hype.

Thugs are involved only in so much as they are threatening, Gail rings the police, they have a report of a person (Gemma) armed with a weapon. When they arrive at the given address, they see Kylie with a shiny object hunched over Gail and assume Gail is in danger. Police shoot Kylie, her 'weapon" turns out to be a toe nail clipper, she was merely trimming Gail's toenails. Police shoot innocent civilians in real life but this has been done on a soap before. Topical, absurd, tragic, ironic.

I put this out before .... Leaking from an official source ..... Kylie is stabbed !!

Stabbing isn't new. Brian Tilsley was stabbed, for instance. I suppose it will be the circumstances that are new and I stand by my theory that she'll get in between the yobs and David when they go after him for killing Callum. Though how that makes it new and never seen before on a soap is beyond me. I can't imagine something like that or very similar hasn't happened on a soap. It certainly has in a regular drama.

A car accident in any form is not new.
I think that the idea of teen girls killing is something seen on the news but not in soap yet. But would the writers leave the family torn this was with poor Bethany feeling responsible...this is not Eastenders afterall.
I think that she will be killed in defending Gemma.
This ending must be exciting for the actress....but I have to say....I never foresaw how beloved Kylie would become. My heart is broken for David already. The Platts are not going to be the same without her.
You may talk of Roy and Ken losing the loves of their lives...but in the case of David and Kylie....his love never wavered. OMG Going to miss Kylie and the stories that were to come.

I did hear that Gail would be present when Kylie died, which adds another dimension for speculation. We'll know by this time tomorrow...

I think lee will be involved somehow. Too convenient that he just left town after kidnapping Sarah. Will add to Billy's angst as he already feels he has driven Lee away, Maybe Lee gets drugs from Macca and says something about the whole situation based on what Sarah said in his bedsit. Lee thinks he is just talking to get free drugs but really incriminates Kylie with Macca.... Hmm not real sure on details just the relationships that lead to the act.

I just saw the pictures and I wondered if, because it had been raining, that she was struck by lightening...

Well if Gemma, Chesney and Craig are all left feeling guilty and Craig was present when Macca and what's-his-face engage in a scuffle with Gemma while trying to rob the till at the kebab shop, then it seems logical that Kylie tries to intervene mid-scuffle and gets killed for her trouble.

Just for fun let's say that Gail and Michael stop on the street when they see Kylie, Gemma, Chesney and Craig. Gemma, Chesney and Craig make tracks away from them and leave Kylie to listen to the prattle. They then feel guilty for leaving Kylie to be bored to death.

The only thing close to this is being married to Ken

I will miss Kylie too

Macca and his brother are like comic villains. Hardly menacing at all. For that reason. I reckon they're only a red herring. And they give Gemma a storyline. Who is being transformed into the latest "tart with a heart", so also won't be responsible. Kylie's already had a kind of "goodbye" scene with her earlier in the week too.

IMO the school bullies are more likely to be involved, just not intentionally.

I think she will die defending Bethany from her bullies.

The guild finally gets to her and she can't take it anymore, she reveals to Max that she killed his dad, and he shoves her, accidentally putting her into oncoming traffic.
My speculation for today.

I think it will someone very unexpected in a bizarre accident or twist of fate - Norris or Audrey or someone like that.
