Bruno Langley, who plays Todd Grimshaw in Coronation Street, was in court this week in Manchester.
The actor is facing a trial over claims he failed to identify a driver sought by police. Bruno appeared at Manchester and Salford Magistrates on Wednesday, July 6 says the Manchester Evening News.
He is accused of failing to give information in relation to the identity of a driver of an Audi A5 on November 30, 2015.
Magistrates convicted him of the charge in April when he failed to appear in court. However Mr Langley’s legal team say the soap actor recently moved house and did not receive any correspondence in relation to the charge. The court heard that Mr Langley recently moved house and had a forwarding postal address but no post was sent on to him.
The actor will now face a trial at the same court on September 2.

I don't get this. What relation does the driver have to him? I don't think we have that charge here in the states.
Doesn't have to be a relation?? Sometimes an accused can say someone else was driving the car at that time to avoid getting points on their licence or even a driving ban. Don't know If you've you seen the recent Roy/Alex speeding episode yet, but that is a good example. The letter went to Roy, as the car was registered to him, but Alex was driving. Alex finally admitted to this misdemeanor and accepted a caution, rather than get points on his licence which he has yet to obtain. Thus Roy in the clear. Bruno hasn't stated who was driving, therefore he he gets the prosecution. Hope this helps
Thanks, Anonymous. I didn't mean relation as in family relation, just what did the unidentified driver have to do with him. Which question you answered quite nicely.
And this is news..why exactly?
