Fans can now send mail from postbox on Coronation Street Tour
Coronation Street The Tour launches its final Summer at the former Corrie filming site with the introduction of Royal Mail postal collections from the Coronation Street post box.
The post box is now celebrating a daily collection of visitor’s mail – including hundreds of postcards, which have gone on sale ahead of the holiday season – for the Tour’s final six month run.
The Tour is championing the postcard revival with thousands expected to receive the official limited edition Weatherfield watermark and “wish you were here” greetings from senders who are visiting the Street this Summer.
This is the Weatherfield stamp that your post will be marked with when it's sent from the Coronation Street tour postbox.
Our Blog team is making a final visit to the old set in December and I'm planning now to post all my Christmas cards while I'm there!
Just last month operators Continuum Attractions confirmed Coronation Street The Tour will close for good at the end of the year and tickets have become rapidly sought after with limited availability for the Summer months and weekends.
All remaining tickets have been released at www.ticketmaster.co.uk/coronationstreet
More information can be found at www.coronationstreettour.co.uk.
Corrie fans - can you help - am I right in thinking the post box was open for official use in the past, many years ago, when the tour was open to the public and your mail was stamped 'Weatherfield'?

Why didn't they think of this a year ago! I am so going to buy the postcards, and maybe even send myself a set!
I totally understand that this is a stupid point, but I *hate* the new look postbox since the old one got obliterated in the tram crash. Bring back the traditional postbox!
