Wednesday 6th May
GAIL RETURNS TO A TRIPLE WHAMMY David dresses Max and Lily, explaining they’re off on holiday. Gail and Michael return from honeymoon. Nick and Sarah break the news that Erica’s pregnant, Sarah’s started a relationship with Callum and David has done a runner with the kids. Horrified Gail tries to phone David. Hearing David’s mobile ring, Max goes to answer it but David slaps his hand away. Max becomes upset and David feels terrible. Meanwhile Callum calls at No.8. He’s livid when Gail lets slip that David’s taken their passports with them. Will Callum call the police?
SEAN MAKES A SACRIFICE FOR LOVE Declaring his love for Sean, Billy announces that he’s going to resign as vicar of St Mary’s. Sean’s deeply moved but as Billy sets off to hand in his resignation will Sean be able to stand by while Billy chooses between their relationship and the Church?
A DOG BECOMES STEVE’S BEST FRIEND Steve returns from a walk with the dog having clearly enjoyed himself, explaining to Michelle that all the rescue centres are currently full so she’s on a waiting list. But when Michelle sees how much Steve’s spent on doggy shampoo, will she be so taken with Steve’s canine pal?

I cannot believe Billy would resign from Vicar which as I have said is a vocation rather than a "job". No doubt he will become manager of the kebab house, delivery driver at Faktray or potman at Rovers. Does NOBODY have any ambition or drive in the Street?

I don't know much about the Diocesan world but I imagine Bishops vary in their views on worldly matters. Much more likely, isn't it, that Billy would say 'I'm going to look for a more progressive parish and are you, Sean, willing to move with me?' But that wouldn't be nearly so dramatic as Sean chasing after Billy to persuade him not to resign.

Oh, please, when is Kylie coming back? This storyline has gone on way too long.

Just how will Billy feel when he and Sean inevitably split up? Does no one think things through on this street?

Re Humpty.I agree about Kylie.. Paula Lane returned to work on 23rd March. I thought Corrie filmed about 6 weeks in advance, so Kyle should be on screen soon, but her return isn't even mentioned for next week. Come back soon Kyle so this storyline can end!

Oops. I meant Kylie. Sorry

I was looking forward to Kylie coming back until the penny dropped that it will just mean this storyline gets ever more air time. The thought of that makes me weep.

But there then would be light at the end of the tunnel for the end this storyline. I think the saying no pain-no gain fits here.

The dog clearly enjoyed himself? :-)

Frosty - I agree with you 100%! As a viewer in Canada I have grown quite fond of Billy. I am hoping against hope he does not resign! As you said he has a vocation and clearly cares deeply about his flock. I am not well schooled how the church feels about gay ministers but here in Canada Anglican (which I assume Billy is) Ministers march in the Gay Pride Parade. I also have a church calendar (a gift from my elderly Mum) and there is a gay pride flag flying at full mast at the front of the Church. I have always thought folks in the U.K. were more open minded that us in Canada! I think Billy is an excellent gay role model for the young viewers.

Watching the final scene of tonight's episode shows that it's best for folk to not cast aspersions before an episode has even aired.

*Wow*...lots of goings-on at the Platt household!! What's a mom to do now? Love the dog addition...especially of the 'rescue' variety!

I was shouting at the tv - just move to a different town Billy. The storyline is ridiculous.
