The steaks (see what they did there?) are high for a good turnout when two Coronation Street actors officially open a new butchers in Chester.
The Chester Chronicle reports that this
Saturday, (April 11), the public are invited to a special meat (woah-ho!) and
greet with Steven Arnold who played butcher Ashley Peacock in Corrie
for 15 years, and Andrew Whyment, who plays Kirk Sutherland, as the pair open the new Wayne Walker Quality Meats
branch at the Forum Shopping Centre in Chester.
And
whether you have a T-bone (another one!) to pick with the actors, or just want to rib (groan!)
them about something - you won't have to mince (stop!) your words because the
pair will be mingling with the public from 11am-2pm, signing autographs
and posing for selfies.

I wish I could be there!! Funny you post this today, last night I watched a bunch of old Corrie episodes...yes..the great Tram Crash of 2010..that was when Ashley (Steven Arnold) died..and yes..again I cried. I was equally as sad at all the wonderful actors who have since left. What a wonderful bunch we had...we were so lucky. That's when I remember getting dinner on the table in time to watch our Corrie. *sigh*
I worked long and hard to come up with these meat puns! (carmella who wrote the story)
Carmella, I love them really. I'll put a link in to the blog post to your article!
Thank you, very kind of you
